It's time to finally get Frontier to do the Malayan tapir justice. IT. DESERVES. BETTER. Where are the people who relentlessly fought for a better binturong? Reply to the post with your gripes to gain recognition and to keep this relevant. A better model CAN HAPPEN. Maybe it'll happen by the next update.

Fixes I would like to see:
Longer trunk
Loss of purple shading on the upper back
Increased size
Reworked of the body (slightly longer torso?)

I would love to see them change this model but I don’t believe anymore that it will ever happen. It is what it is. If you don’t like it just use the mod which is perfect actually.

The same was said about the size of the camel, yet they fixed it after more than 2.5 years. As long as we keep mentioning that the Malayan Tapir was a lazy reskin, then there is a chance they will understand it one day.

I would use the mod, but my graphics card isn't compatible with mods.

Some mods are great but the Malayan tapir mod is far from perfect and none of us should have to be dependent on mods to fix Frontier’s mistakes.

They need to fix the tapir, it’s simply inexcusable, especially given the fact that we have an accurate tapir sign indicating that someone there understands what a Malayan tapir actually looks like.

Agreed! Mods aren't even endorsed by Frontier, so it's not like they just expect every to download the mod to to have a good looking Malayan tapir in their zoo.

I understand and support the cause but It’s been more than a year and a half. Let’s be real. They don’t see it as the priority of any kind.
They have changed the camel only because it was looking stupid with the new horse.

Let’s sign a petition or something and gather as many signs around and send it to frontier because our voices here on the forum are evidently ignored.

Maybe someone with skills can create a sticker or poster for this campaign?

Maybe we should all change our profile photos for this new logo that will be created?

What about a simple website for the campaign? Twitter account? There are so many options….

We can create funny stories with this ugly model and post them on the Instagram account…

We need to unite if we really want them to react.

If a few bad looking animals is the biggest gripe we have with this game then I think Frontier is doing a fantastic job. I also happen to be a Sims 4 player and that has so many issues right now that multiple DLCs have bugs making the content unusable and even the basegame is unusable for quite a large number of players right now due to weird bugs. I'm fortunate enough not to have many of these problems, but I'd say that they are a lot worse than what we are experiencing with PZ. Just my opinion though.

Broadly speaking the Planet Zoo animals - especially recent DLCs - are excellent.

With respect, the issues of other games are irrelevant.

None of this changes the fact that the tapir is not anywhere near the standard of the other South East Asia pack animals or subsequent releases. None of this changes the fact that Frontier need to #FixTheMalayanTapir.

That’s fair enough but it’s one of my favourite animals and whilst not game-breaking I feel as a loyal customer and community member I - and we - deserve better.

I definitely would like to see the Malayan tapir touched up a bit along with the lion. It’s never been a dealbreaker for me and I use the lion in every zoo I build and enjoy them being my favorite animal. I definitely think both models could be better tho.
