I always appreciate bug quashings. However, 2GB means 2 hours of Downloads, Sigh.....................

No downloads/updates for EDH in Steam or Epic.
Maybe the change to the lighting involved changes to a large/major file(s) and a new version(s) had to be installed. I'm just guessing mind you
Lens flares? Didn't even notice they were broken. How about fixing the instancing problems on fleet carriers. Jump with a teammate on Odyssey. When we get there, we stand up and poof. Not in the same instance.

2GB is like 10mins.Hundreds of files are being replaced/added. There is more going on than mere flare in graphics.

I left school in 1972 long before Computers were in general use so I had no IT or programming training whatsoever and I only ever messed about with the Basic Language starting with the Sinclair ZX80 , hexadecimal and all of that stuff goes right over my head ......
Expect it to vary, peoples. You're all attacking a limited source pipe. One bottle of ketchup gonna take a lot of patience if y'all want it at once!

The Frontier launcher always takes ages. It updates much faster via Epic. (I have one account that only uses the Frontier launcher and isn't linked to Epic or Steam at all and another which is via Epic from the giveaway). My internet is only a 30Mb line but it's rock solid at that speed and is fine for my needs. It simply should not take anything like this long to download a file that size and indeed doesn't, other than when using the Frontier launcher.
I'm not losing sleep over it or anything, I only mentioned it because others did to give a comparison.
This was my assumption, that the servers are hammered at the delivery end of the pipeline.

Mine always takes hours too despite having a fairly decent connection. Only Elite ever seems to be restricted. Never worked out why.
