Odyssey Fleet Carrier Map Filter

Dear Devs, Please transfer the fleet carrier presence galaxy map filter from Horizons over to Odyssey.

I didn't realize that fleet carriers show up on the galaxy map. Perhaps you mean the system map?

There is a filter in Horizons that shows you the systems in the galaxy that currently have a FC in them.

OK. In Odyssey I do see a "Fleet Carrier Marker" enable/disable check box on the Galaxy map and it correctly filters my Fleet Carrier in the view of the Galaxy map.

OK then sounds more like a bug where Odyssey only filters one's own fleet carrier instead of all of them...or it was repurposed.

It's not a bug. That is a separate feature. They just didn't put the filter into Odyssey.

You are using inara, so everyone can look up your carrier without beeing in the game

That's true and I already find that annoying, so putting it on the galaxy map itself will only make it more annoying. But really I suppose anyone could indeed spend the time to make the trip out to my Fleet Carrier, they will of course be most dissapointed when I refuse to let them come aboard even if they are badly damaged and want repair.

I would visit it, but 25k LY to your carrier atm. So maybe next time, when I'm back for restock in the bubble

This has been discussed on another thread. I think it is pretty fair to say that Frontier could implement filters for FC owners to hide their fleet carriers. Those who want their FCs to be visible could keep their beacon/ docking permission filter(s) on. Sub-filters can be used to distinguish between squadrons, wings, friends etc.. With options everyone can be happy . But removing entirely the option to display "hospitable" FCs from the galmap is a step backwards and a hassle for poor explorers who cannot afford to own one.

Don't even have restock activated, it's only for the emergencies when the carrier owner needs it, the only thing open is the bar for the crew, got to let them have some fun after all!
