With this i got a little faith for Elite back ... The only thing left after a succesfull port will be the much awaited additions : MORE ships(!), that are not yet announced. It would triple our hype.
Thanks for the port. This will mean more lightyears for me. Also some ark spending.
Please send some new ships our way and the game will be on fire again.

Thank you for the information, I have PTSD from this whole situation and was beginning to fear for the worst with no info the past few days. A sigh of relief is likely heard across the galaxy at this moment. Looking forward to joining the ED galaxy once again on the other side.

As part of my Discovery Scanner post, I mentioned we would give you all a heads up on information around the launch of the portal itself ahead of time - my exact line being "We will follow up with the specifics, for example where to find the portal guide and how to access it ahead of time."

I just want to give you a heads up that the expected portal opening time is currently sat at "mid-morning BST" (so a window of around 10:00-11:00 our work time).
I'm afraid I've let you down a little in expectation in that this is all I have for you currently, until we jump in tomorrow morning to bring you the necessary links to the portal and help guide once available, however myself and Bruce will be on hand with you as we move.

We're excited to welcome our Console Commanders across to the Galaxy on PC side!

Don't forget, you can find the necessary info for all of the previous statements and FAQs in posts such as this one: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/console-profile-transfers-faq-and-expected-date.603979/

PLEASE don't forget the following (I can't stress this enough. It's keeping me awake):
  • Your original console profile will remain playable.
  • Only one profile may be copied per copy of Elite Dangerous.
  • This will be a one-time only process.
  • The portal will remain open for the foreseeable future and Commanders will be given plenty of advance warning prior to decisions on when the portal looks set to close.
Which elements of my console profile will NOT be copied to PC?
  • Your Commander name if it is already in use by another PC player. You will be given the chance to choose a new name as part of the process.
  • ARX Balance.
    • Please ensure that you purchase desired customisations before you complete the transfer.
    • Any unspent Arx will remain on your original console profile
  • Squadron membership.
  • Friends lists, Block lists and Private Groups.
  • Current mission progress.
  • Fleet Carriers and their contents.
    • Fleet Carriers will not be copied over. Please decommission these ahead of going through the process so that your resulting Credit balance will be included.
    • Any modules will be decommissioned at the discounted rate if previously aquired as discounted and then repurchased at the full rate on the PC account.
    • This also applies for any discounted purchase Fleet Carriers.

omg i cant wait! been playing on ps4 for 4 years and now i got a super duper pc im going over to the light side baby!!!!yeah!!!!!!! one question,ive managed to make my psvr work with the pc, does ED have vr support as standard or is it a separate down load? ive even bough a hotas for the occation! i just wont have any friends lol

It depends on what you want to do: either wipe your PC account in advance to transfer your Console account over there, or get an additional Horizons copy, independent from your existing PC account:

No! If you would like to use an account that you already own, clearing your existing PC save will allow your console Commander to then be copied to this account.  If you have an account with a Commander that you would like to keep, you can use a free Horizons account that we will provide for the console profile to move to. To use this free account, you will need to register for a new Frontier account using an email that differs from your existing account.

To delete an existing PC Commander profile, open the main menu, select 'Options' and then select 'Clear Save'. You will be asked to confirm the action before your save is deleted.

Yes VR is included, but your headset must be recognized.... as well, no Odyssey content is in VR at this time, so walking ect, would not be VR, but a 2D screen within the VR..
All Horizons and previous content is VR and included with Game!

Quest 2 and ED in VR, is probably the best thing ive ever experienced in my life.

But make sure that PC is a BEAST lol

What all info are we going to need for the copy progress? I have a account on ps4 and pc. I know all my info for pc but I dont know if I remember all my info on ps4 other than what is on my screen as I log into the game?
