How much of the dogfights PvP or PvE do you guys really feel is skill and ability to out maneuver? Enough for an experienced Eagle Pilot to evade and destroy an average viper pilot? Just curious of other opinions. And if you believe that is possible how far do you think skill will go? Eagle vs Cobra? Eagle vs Anaconda? Please tell me what you time.

I think the Cobra/Eagle/Viper are closely matched enough that experienced pilots with any combination would be a good fight. the ultimate advantage to the Cobra is speed - and the fact they can bug out and get far enough away, then spin around and go head on - the stronger hull and more capable shields of the Cobra are a huge advantage there. When things get tight, an Eagle runs rings around the other two - ultimately, I think, in current form, the Cobra would have the best chance, but it would be a fairly good battle regardless.

Thank you for the insight. I know very little about the higher class ships because I'm refraining myself but delving into the beta for to long. Saving most my experiences for release.
I was quite dangerous in a Viper for a long time and got murdered by an eagle pilot a few weeks ago, I knew he was experienced because I fought him before back during beta 1. he was flying a Sidewinder then and again I lost to him. That time I was in a Cobra. Added him to my friend list and fought him a few days ago again in a Cobra vs Cobra match and won. He never flew the cobra before that day and I've flew a Cobra almost as much as I flew the Viper proving it's the skill not the ship.
Thanks for sharing, I really glad to hear that the ships fly very distinctively and that you cant master them all from flying one. Wish you would've recorder it, would've made a wonderful story.
It is actually very easy for an experience Eagle pilot to totally dominate a Viper of similar or lesser skill level.
This is because Eagle has a lot more manuverability and not a lot less firepower than a Viper. The little bit better shield on the Viper ain't gonna save the Viper pilot.
The advantage of Viper is in the amount of bounty-hunting/pirating equipments you can mount on it, not so much that it is a better fighting craft at all.
