Nice system for upgrades

Seen a lot of posts complaining (whinging) about how it's too hard to find upgrades etc etc.. For the past few day's I've been cruising the pill checking out stations in a lightly upgraded Eagle.

Anyway, just landed after a long trip to the high tech system WOLF 393 - Found 8 ships for sale including the clipper/dropship. It has a black market, outfitting has all the High Class/Rating FSD's Power plant's,Thrusters,Power distributors etc.

The market also has a good supply of progen cells, and performance enhancers (Made my millions on those before I lost it all) Also has a whole bunch of other commodities to get you rich quickly, and plenty of systems nearby.

Not sure how long it will last so if you;re in the neighborhood check it out.

It's not a case of being too hard, but rather a case of being too lazy and wanting everything with minimal effort. It's really not that hard to look on the galaxy map and go to every high tech system you see.

Shok.

Exactly what I'm thinking, just filter everything out except high tech and jump across the pill.

I don't know, but 20+hrs of time looking for an damn power supply is not in my list of "fun" things to do. DOn't get me wrong, I'm not asking for it, but when it is just plain random as to whether you'll find it or not... And I was one of the ones getting the butt end of the random thing (never did find an A class power supply for my Eagle - after 5 days of searching...). Parts for the Cobra I just bought, on the other hand, not so hard. Shame about the money bit...

Indeed, I just bought a new cobby mkIII to play around in. I had it fully equipped within the hour. It's really not as bad as people make out.

Shok.

Well over the last 2 day's I have spent maybe 6 hours in total visiting high tech systems. By filtering out all the other systems it becomes incredibly easy to find tech. In that time I found pretty much everything I needed to upgrade this Eagle & larger ships, my only limitation is my credit balance.

Only reason i decided to post Wolf 393 was due to the system having a black market/good economy/lot's of nearby systems & plenty of tech. It's an ideal Homebase. It's a shame it will be gone in a week.

EDIT - there's always room for improvement, perhaps if a system is out of stock it could tell you X item is available in 7 hours, you can preorder and put a down payment, if you don't collect it in time you lose your cash..

I think I found mine for the eagle at Anlave, or somewhere around there, I forget, as it was awhile back. The best places for things might change again soon with pre-release anyway, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Shok.

I found amazing upgrades in the system Ikpenones, station Oswald Park. There are other stations there but I haven't tried them, the main one already has everything I needed. I bought a Cobra there and outfitted it to get 17ly jump range, class 2 gimballed multicannons, good thrusters, a fuel scoop that fills up to 245 units/s, and many more goodies...

There are a couple of honey spots even closer to the core if people would just look around. G180-18 always has plenty of tech, plenty of ships, and plenty of missions for me to run. My hauler is outfitted class C or better on almost everything by just using that system. The big rush once gamma rolls out will be to find what systems have the sweet spots for tech and commodities to use as a home base.
