(This isn’t a wishlist)
While people is waiting news for the autumn DLC, I want to share this…
It is obvious that players want more South American animals in game, specially wildlife from the tropical rainforest (me included), because these ones are the most known animals in this part of the world. You can see this in the current distribution available of SA animals (Conservation Pack) in biomes, where fauna from tropical and grassland biomes are the majority:
Additionally, it is clear that fauna from other SA biomes are less required (Desert, Temperate, Taiga and Tundra), maybe because they are less known between the players and less frequent in North American and European zoos (part of them are present on South American zoos mainly). Personally I would like to see more animals from the Andes or the Patagonia, to have more biodiversity available in PZ.
For these reasons I decide to use a bit of my time to make these pictures to share you some SA animals from different regions, not just the tropical one, and spread biodiversity on the continent to you. Mainly I take animals from the meta-wishlist of @randomgoat and chose other ones that don’t appear there to complete the pictures. I also checked the IUCN Red List website to investigate a little in detail about the possible biomes to which they would belong if they were in game (you can disagree with me). In some cases, some species can live in more than one area (for example, Desert of the Pacific Coast + Andes or Andes + Patagonia) or even both South America and North America (for example, white-tailed deer, nine-banded armadillo, collared peccary).
Finally, I divided the South American regions as follows (arbitrarily of course):
Ok, let's do it ...
Well, that's all, hope you guys enjoyed it
(I added a pair of animals more for the picture of tropical savannah animals)
