I suspect it's a mistake by someone who doesn't know their timezones!
That could be in part because the CNB was only showing in 4.0 games. Maybe a bug or setup mistake. Hopefully not that 3.8 was cut out as CGs were one of the things we were going to share across versions.Wow, Horizons 3.8 is completely and utterly empty these days... At least at this CG.
UPDATE - there are a few players in 3.8 at this CG, but not many, at least not in Open. I'll keep watch as the weekend goes on, because often CGs get more players at the end of a weekend rather than the beginning for reasons unknown.
Separately... alright, who was the bounty hunting master nerd that dropped a billion credits in vouchers in a single day at this CG?
Did someone hoard the bounties until the last moment? It must have been an spectacular effort to bring in >1.6 billion credits. In my previous CG all-out effort of 10 to 12 hour days, and with a wing in tow, I barely hit 1.2B total. Congrats to the winner!PS: keep the Bounty Hunting CGs coming!!
it's not that outrageous for a dedicated bounty hunter. I contributed 80 MCr. from three relaxed playing sessions of around two hours each hunting in a HazRes. Okay, a billion is still twelve times as much, but my playtime included swapping ships, testing out weapon loadouts and things. Repeating scenarios at the installations in the system makes you a boatload of credits compared to a HazRes. I would estimate you can make 30 MCr. or more per hour, maybe even 50, at an installation...? That's still over 20-30 hours... I don't have time to play 30 hours in a week, but people do stuff that is much more crazy.
Maybe the state of the Nav Beacon depends on the ratio of population being in a certain state and 4.0/EDO adds settlements which shift that ratio and in Cemiess it was just enough to shift the Nav Beacon into the corrupted state. That's my theory.

During COVID Lockdown in the U.K. I was unemployed and easily raking in 1 Billion+ credits per week through out the 3 week Sirius Summit CGs.
I was starting to look a bit like this guy
Generally the non-cash rewards take a little longer to show up - often the Friday after the CG's scheduled completion, but it can sometimes take a little longer.
