Why is it that even if I've turned in data about scans of planets and planetary surfaces that if I die, I have to do them over again if I want the information? Why is that? Is there something I can do to prevent that?

I had this issue the other week. I now have a 0 credit scan which doesn't disappear. Why is it that even if I've turned in data about scans of planets and planetary surfaces that if I die, I have to do them over again if I want the information? You can sell the 0cr entry by scanning another system then selling the page.I had this issue the other week. I now have a 0 credit scan which doesn't disappear.
Although I didn't die.
I visited a System I'd previously fully scanned and handed in all the data for but when I jumped in, it said I'd discovered it again and I had to scan it again.
I'll try that. I usually sell everything individually because I make sure I've not forgotten to scan something. As it happens, I forget to scan a ring of a planet, so I need to return to the System and scan it. Once I return, I'll try and sell the page and see if it removes the 0 credit entry. You can sell the 0cr entry by scanning another system then selling the page.
Thanks for everyone's replies! I think I know what's happening now; I didn't realize that I hadn't sold the specific data of the system I was in yet. When I died, I was losing that particular data when I thought I had already sold it. Thanks again! Hopefully this will help someone else in the future.
