I think an Old World Porcupine is not in this one of its is temperate/forest but that doesn’t rule a New world one out.

Of course if it’s nocturnal we might see the old world porcupine instead of the Wolverine.

I'd still want a North American river otter, just because of how common they are in North American zoos. And I'd prefer three otters to the three foxes that we're about to get.

I've historically been a big supporter of this one, but honestly I'm fine using the ASCO assuming support doesn't run for another year plus. They're close enough to cover the same niche for my purposes.

And who knows, we might all be completely thrown off by the hints of the stream, especially with respect to the Red Fox. I know with the previous pre-announcement livestreams we were all confident we would get the Spectacled Bear which turned out to be a Spectacled Caiman, and a lot of people actually expected the Eurasian River Otter back for the Europe DLC before the hint turned out to be a very weird way to describe a fallow deer.

Now that i think, this can be my least favourite dlc. I do not like skunks and red foxes, too simple for me. At least wombat and raccoon are cool. I hope for other good choices for the other animals

I think now it will be temperate forest pack (however they call it) and not a general forest pack as I expected before. The DLC theme would perfectly fit into the actual season on the northern hemisphere. 3-4 Habitat species are still missing, so there is again no reason to make it already to the worst pack. Every pack will have species which are higher and lower on yout priority list. I like the likely pack content even if it will have some normal day known animals for Europeans and North American people. I really do not understand why people do not want to have some local Fauna in the game. Another thing is that the raccoon must not be the headliner. With conservation pack we got teased the (Amur) Leopard but at the end the Przewalski Horse was the headliner of the pacm.

Racoons and skunks are definitely kept in zoos. Maybe not common but it's not too far fetched

Racoons are kept in at least 307 EAZA-zoos (only in the EU....with over 140 zoos outside of the EU or the EAZA).....so I would say they are very common in zoos

I mean, it would make sense with the Tasmanian Devil and the Wombat being "neighbors" in real life, but... I don't really think that's too likely. They like to throw us off now and then, but intentionally calling the animal differently from what it's going to be doesn't sound like something they would do.

Every pack will consist of species someone likes more or less. And sorry, I do not understand to make a pack already the worst of which at least half of the species are even not clear.

I know... for me a Przewalski Horse is a better headliner than Leopard... also a matter of taste.... Plus Leopard is similar to Jaguar. I know we see the differences, but not everyone, as we have already written about here (people like to confuse species)
