Notice A notice on ARX (17/09)

They aren't. I never said that they were. They're responsible for theirs and theirs alone and they're simply not doing it. Their prices reflect the value of the British Pound from about 10 years ago.
be careful what you wish for!
edit i miss read your post i apologise however my point was not far off.....

10 years ago however £50 purchase would equate to around $80 so it isnt that bad. Stores tend to have fairly stables prices, they dont go up and down every day.

at some point likely there will be an adjustment if the £ keeps on tanking..... so keep your money in your pocket if it worries you that much and wait.

They have simply never updated it.
🤔

I just showed you the value of the British Pound from one year ago. You are factually wrong. And I didn't see you complaining that you were not able to pay the 'full" price, right?

PS
In case you missed it:
On May 28th 2021 £1 was $1.42. So the 85.000 Arx pack should've been $63,89. Did you transfer the missing $3,9 to their bank account?

I was guessing from memory. I knew it used to be around $1.40 back then or close to it, which would be the exact amount the store is presently running. So probably only 6 or 8 years ago.
yeah around the time the uk voluntarily decided to balls up our place on the world stage with a moment of small man syndrome...... but i am getting politcal so i better back off now.
however chances are at some point the £ will recover just as it somewhat did after the 6-8 years ago crash and the gap will close again, but it is unlikely when they do FD will change prices then either.

Then they can forget me giving them any more money.

I'll just suck up the free Arx and wait. It stinks too, because I was about to buy my fleet carrier and totally customize it. I customize every ship I buy. I'd love to keep doing it, but I'm not going to do it knowing I'm getting completely ripped off.

It doesn't work that way.

No credit card company will allow me to check out from the U.S. to another nation using any other currency than U.S. Dollars. If they do not offer a U.S. Dollars store, I can not purchase from that company.
Ah, that sucks. Here in the UK my bank allows me to pay (and withdraw when abroad) in whatever currency I want. Paypal does the same. It's unfortunate that your country/bank is behind the times and doesn't allow international currency exchange, otherwise you could take advantage of the better value available to you.

Thankfully, Paypal gives you that option, and FDev support payments via Paypal, so you can go that route.

Again, no other internet entity I've ever dealt with has this issue. This is the first time I've ever encountered it. It's not me and everybody else with the issue. It's just FDev.
Now you're showing a lack of knowledge. Steam has massive price fluctuations internationally for different games on its platform. For example, here's the price variance for Civilization 6 on Steam:

Again, nothing you are seeing on your Steam app or anything else has any relevance to what I'm seeing.

IT.

DOES.

NOT.

WORK.

THAT.

WAY.

HERE.

I frankly find it unbelievable that a US citizen can't pay in a foreign currency with their credit card! Sounds more like a 3:rd rate financially troubled or embargoed country. I don't want to call anyone wrong, but please do check again.. I mean that would exclude US citizens from so much as not everyone wants to sell in USD.

So, to summarise:
  • Country/bank is rubbish and won't do currency exchange - that's FDev's fault.
  • UK's currency value is fluctuating a lot - that's FDev's fault.
  • Paypal can be used, but won't be for "reasons" - that's FDev's fault.
  • Many games and platforms have international price variance - that's FDev's fault.
Karen would be proud.

I too find it astonishing. Land of the free huh?

I read perfectly fine.

But you people keep opening up your applications from the UK telling me how things work here. It's not the same at all. Just like the other fellow that told me how much Steam charged for Cyberpunk when you can't even buy Cyberpunk here on Steam.

You'd might as well be looking out your window at the weather and simply assuming that the weather everywhere else on earth is exactly the same. That's pretty much what you're doing.
