Beautiful and versatile bird with amazing conservation story behind1. Little blue penguin (if we can get three foxes why not three penguins? Plus they’re from Oceania!)
2. South Island Takahe (a cute, round, endangered borb from NZ)
3. Aardwolf (another hyenid that’s more unique than the others imo)
4. Southern Ground Hornbill (it’s a bird, that’s enough reason lol)
5. Nene (another bird :> )
6. Helmeted Guineafowl (great bird for mixed exhibits)
7. Greater Bilby (more marsupials would be nice)
I just love this species
- Harbor seal
- North American Porcupine (I would love to see them only if they are not a replacement for the African crested porcupine, if we get both it would be amazing)
- sea otter
- Roosevelt elk
- African spurred tortoise
- Nine-Banded Armadillo
- Patagonian mara
Those are my favorites of them all
- Ethiopian Wolf
- Giant Eland
- Somali Wild Donkey
- Alligator Snapping Turtle
- Roosevelt Elk
- Black-Footed Ferret
- Helmeted Guineafowl
Yea I would love to get BOTH the african crested porcupine AND the north american porcupine cause they not really similar like the north american porcupine climb all the times and the african crested porcupine don't climb and also the ACP more big and have a different unique so I would love to see BOTH.
Similar appearance of North American Porcupines to Old World Porcupines is because of convergent evolution. They are closer related to Capybaras, Maras or Agoutis than to Old World Porcupines. I would have nothing against the Integration of both animal groups but first I would prefer an Old World Porcupine.Yea I would love to get BOTH the african crested porcupine AND the north american porcupine cause they not really similar like the north american porcupine climb all the times and the african crested porcupine don't climb and also the ACP more big and have a different unique so I would love to see BOTH.
yea I know and agree! I want the old world porcupine (african, cape, indian one of them) and if we would the north american porcupine it would be nice but first the old world porcupine.Similar appearance of North American Porcupines to Old World Porcupines is because of convergent evolution. This moody cat is so specialSo many great suggestions so I won't repeat them, but the first that come to mind is the quokka and the pallas' cat. I don't know if you'd consider them "oddball", but I don't see them mentioned often.
My local zoo got a Pallas's cat a couple months ago but the animal is hard to see and it's always hiding, so I haven't seen it yetSo many great suggestions so I won't repeat them, but the first that come to mind is the quokka and the pallas' cat. Essential Australian species for me1) African Civet
2) North American Porcupine
3) Shoebill
4) Short Beaked Echidna
5) Wild Yak
6) False Gharial
7) Gerenuk
Such a majestic animal and so important for the conservationI always love the surprise/oddball picks the most in any pack! I’d love to see more like them. That being said, here’s my list:
1. European Bison
2. Scottish Highland Cattle
3. White Nosed Coati
4. Barbary Macaque
5. African Dwarf Goat
6. Domestic Yak
7. Eurasian Brown Bear
My list is quite bovine. I’d love to see at least one of them (preferably one of the European options) make it into the game soon!![]()
I must say I love this Asian deer for the most. I don’t think I have ever desired any species more than this one. I could talk about him for hoursI love this thread! It's interesting to see some odd-ball picks from the community.
Here's mine (in no particular order)...
- Elk/Wapiti (preferably Roosevelt Elk)
- Matchsie's Tree Kangaroo (or any tree kangaroo, but this one is preferred for me)
- Southern Pudu
- Gaur
- Pere David's Deer
- Coquerel's Sifaka
- Sea Otter
Any guesses as to which zoos I'm nearby lol
