All terrain paints available in every zoo

Hi!
Something that I've hoped for, pretty much since the launch of this game, is to be able to pick from all the different terrain paints (from all the biomes) in a single zoo.
I think that this might be only missing piece from Zoo Tycoon 2 that would make this (already awesome) game even more creative. I miss being able to have completely different biomes within the same zoo - or just to be able to remix the terrain a bit with terrain paint from another biome.
Sincerely,
a long time fan

I think it is already believed the game engine can only support 6 paints at a time so a great addition would be like the new biome skirts. Allow us to choose it desired 6 terrain paints in the new map menu
I'm not a game developer or anything, but forgive me if I don't think that makes much sense. How can the game handle six terrain paints at a time when it can handle zoos with hundreds of high-res, moving animals and thousands of objects?

I have no idea, I just remember some official statement years back stating the game engine supports only 6 paints at a time. It confuses me aswell from a player perspective

It's an engine constraint, not about performance. That's why Coaster only got the scenario editor.

Anything we complain about in Zoo was complained about in Coaster as well, and if it isn't fixed it's because it can't be.

I always thought this looked very unrealistic. I’d see some otherwise nice zoos that ended up looking very unnatural and unrealistic ruining the overall finish imo in
zt2. I’ve yet to see a zoo irl where the grass is naturally green and then seen the African section of a zoo for example using long yellow grass. I know people love this ability but I personally despise this in my personal zoos. The only exception I can think of is on tropical maps the soil sort of resembles mulch which could be useful but other then that no thanks.

I largely agree, but I do wish the game had habitat-specific terrains. Instead of "Tall Grass", "Short Grass", "Soil", "Light Soil", etc. we could have "Grass", "Clay" (a lot of zoos use clay and sand in savannah exhibits or large herbivore habitats to keep their feet healthy), "Bark Chips" (typically the substrate of choice for rainforest habitats), "Faux Rock" (aquatic exhibits utilise this a lot), "Concrete" (sounds icky but very useful for realistic builds), and so on. Or even a separation between "natural" terrain and "habitat" terrain.
