Well the system I'm in at the moment has 3 planets with bio, one with 8, one with 6, and one with 5. So it's probably just RNG messing with you.And is it just me, or are systems out here Colonia way far more devoid of planets with organics?

Typical isn't it? I just landed on a planet with sixWell the system I'm in at the moment has 3 planets with bio, one with 8, one with 6, and one with 5. So it's probably just RNG messing with you.
I find it hard to see on those ammonia atmosphere planets. The deep red is cool, but finding stuff is harder.Inciidentally, this systm has two planets with bios, both of which has six. After much exploring and teeth gnashing I've found... two:
Well, that is my mat collecting ship. Have done it quite some time like this, but still, it is too time consuming for me. Had it happen more than once that I ran out of time and a bulk of the materials disappeared before I could collect them. And usually, with the Limpets, the first materials are in the bin before the data core scan is done. The Cobra MkIII is good for that as well.
No doubt. Everything looks the same. I'll head out chasing some Stratum about 200 yards away only to get there and find out it's rocks.I find it hard to see on those ammonia atmosphere planets. The deep red is cool, but finding stuff is harder.
Would be helpful if you could change the colour of the lights of your suit or SRV...No doubt. Everything looks the same. I'll head out chasing some Stratum about 200 yards away only to get there and find out it's rocks.
Night vision can sometimes help the bio stuff stand out, even in daylight, sure.Would be helpful if you could change the colour of the lights of your suit or SRV...
Just wondering... Did you try to activate night vision? I feel like it could help even in the bright daylight...
It just turns everything from a red shaded object you can't tell to a green shaded object you can't tell.Just wondering... Did you try to activate night vision?
Don't forget the experimental effect!I'm finally getting somewhere with Felicity re the Dolphin FSD upgrade now. I just completed level 3 with her and got the jump range up to about 41lys. Looks like all I need now is one more chemical distillery for level 4 and I already have what's needed for level 5.
The manufactured mat trader I went to before I arrived at Farseer this time seems to only want the more obscure stuff in exchange - ie the kind of stuff I was finding on my last prospecting trip, so it's off once more in the Dolphin then to land on a few more promising planets with lava spouts etc.
I might give that crashed Anaconda a try sometime, but anyway I enjoy landing on the planets and finding stuff so I'll carry on with that for now...
I received reckless flying fine afew times, wondering is there a driving equivalent....![]()
Deep Charge experimental effect make a difference too...I'm finally getting somewhere with Felicity re the Dolphin FSD upgrade now. I usually use either my ship or SRV with the fire group that contains the composition scanner active this will beep if pointed at anything interesting in range which is around 200 metres, if on foot I use my Aphelion rifle which was fitted with a telescopic sight when I bought it this gives a magnified view (full screen not just the scope). No doubt. Everything looks the same. I'll head out chasing some Stratum about 200 yards away only to get there and find out it's rocks.
The trouble with night vision is it doesn’t work on everything, Bacterium Colonies rarely show up using it for me at least. But some things do glow much brighter than the surroundings.Would be helpful if you could change the colour of the lights of your suit or SRV...

Yes but the bigger the FSD you apply it too the more fuel it uses per jump so you end up going further per jump but for fewer jumps due to fuel use. Mass Manager works differently so avoids this but doesn’t give as much boost on smaller FSDs the transition point is around size 4 & 5.Deep Charge experimental effect make a difference too...
You don't have the armory installed? You carry limpets in your hold? How...strange.Reducing my Limplets stock to 500 tons saved 11,592 tons (?) of space for Tritium in the Carrier cargo, meaning that because I was traveling with a huge amount of limplets on board, I was never able to top up the carrier with an optimal load of tritium, good to know, Carrier Tritium consumption is 75t if empty and 135t when full, 11,592 tons extra Tritum load, is that <> 85+ Jumps?
Anyway, from now on I'll ne looking at the number of limplets I have on board...
