This is me thinking out loud, y'all, but I have a feeling we will be getting 1 more full year of support, 5 more DLC, maybe a 4th anniversary, too.

I don't think this is overthinking. Exactly my thoughts. The recent updates and activities don't look like a wrap-up to me, I'm very optimistic about longer support. And I'm here for it! [Merch, new exhibit type, etc.]

Yeah, I typically err towards skepticism perhaps to a fault, but giving away a second free anniversary animal and setting up a new merch store do not feel like the actions of a team planning to wrap things up in 3-6 months. Especially when keeping in mind how many thematically relevant and super popular animals were left on the table in this last DLC in favor of what we actually got (disclaimer: I adore what we got). I dunno, but I do feel a whole lot more optimistic than I did even just a few weeks ago.
Oh who knew! Although I think the red deer’s bugle is much louder and much more characteristic of the species than the fallow deer’s. But knowing that the FD can do it gives me hope that the RD can too!
That's what I'm hoping too. A full 5 more DLC. And maybe beyond, if we can dream. Or at least partly into 2024.
You know what I gotta say about them releasing the free Red Deer? It's a lot more unique designed than a lot of our suggestions were. Like for instance, I was really hoping it would be the Masai Giraffe. Some people suggested the Black Bear or a Grevy's Zebra. Animals that were a lot closer to an animal already in the game, that theoretically would take less work to do and thus be appropriate for a free gift. Any of those would have been great but they actually went and gave us something unique. Sure, it's the 4th deer. but it's not a clone of any of the other three, and again, it's free.
I can't wait to see what 2023 will bring. This game's got my support for new content for as long as they want to keep releasing it.My play time over the last three years definitely shows I've gotten my money's worth. 1,344 hours over the 3 years...37 hours monthly. And a good long stretch from September 2020-May 2021 I did not play much at all, nor have I played a lot the last two months. I honestly can say there's not another game I've enjoyed as much as Planet Zoo and am happy it's going strong.

I agree, the merch shop got me optimistic as well. Seems like "too much" hazzle if attention is drawn away from the game in less than a year.

also I don't think planet coaster has a merch store or like that so it show that this game have a better future like I really love planet coaster but it wasn't was special as like now that look how much fun things we have with the community managers and all the streams and the special stream like in the special livestream that was for the twilight pack I'm pretty sure was in the live more then 600+ peoples which for 3 years of support It's really impressive and it really show that peoples still in love with this game and I don't see why to stop that now which there is more potential for this game
