No Single Player offline Mode then?

Hey, you can play Solo online too. Or in a private group. So you won't be victimized by PvPers and you don't need a refund.
But you still live in the same Galaxy ... and both share the LAG ... and both HAVE impact to each other in the Modell of the Galaxy...even if they didn´t meet.

I am a latecomer to Elite D , the deciding feature for me was the promised solo offline option. So I pitched $75.00 into the ring and wow boy was that a total waste of my money. All I want now is my $$ back. Has anyone successfully done it yet ? what procedure did you use? did you need to dispute the charge with your bank or card company?
This always online for single player games has got to be discouraged and put down hard like a diseased animal.
The only folks that want online play are the Dbag pvp crowd, I refuse to be victimized just to make your game fun pvp'rs.

Start by contacting Sales support and letting them know, until you have asked and explained, you have not given Frontier Developments a fair chance to help you.

They do want happy customers so give them a chance, and save yourself getting too angry before you've asked.

I am not an employee, I am a volunteer mod and I want this game to be awesome and I want people to be happy playing it too. So give them a fair chance sir.

Refund for what....that I make the mistake to trust FD.
I have no poblem with my connection (I suggest Fiberglass around 3MB/s...) ...again no reason for refund.
My problem is....I don´t need Multiplayer ...even this so called Solo, and after that I really can´t trust FD.

Not a go at you personally etc.

But what is fair is for FD to produce the promised and advertised offline mode. Not just tell people that if they don't like it ask for your money back and go away.

If you bought ED because it was claimed to have an Offline mode then I would believe that to be False Advertisement.

Now that you mention it, the way (or the way I remember it) Michael posted the link to Customer Services seemed off. Not sure it was like "don't like it ask for your money back and go away" or "Ive gotten your money and you've played it somewhat, you wont get it back anyway", but that's the kinda vibe I got.

Note: My "vibes" are rarely correct.

Then ask for a refund already. But stop with the ignorance .... "even this so called Solo,"

I too was looking forward to making single player mods which, sadly, will not be an option now.
But I am not grabbing my pitch fork.

Let's be fair here and quote directly from the original KickStarter text:
...assumptions that were made at the start may prove to be mistaken...

The future is uncertain, things change beyond anyone's control; it is possible to be mature in response to this.

I know what its like to be on the end of the torches and pitchfork. Over on the KSH forums for Space Engineers a couple of users have a torches and pitchforks image ready incase I accidently rile the mob again lol.

Yes, but when did they know that Offline was not going to happen?

I am in really bad mod, so I will called by the Real Name for me Cheating Mode..... but really that will be the last, because I see here and in other Post that the MP Fraction celebrate there Victory

It's a disappointing reaction that is all too common.
A similar situation occurred with Diablo 3, and that broke the record for the fastest selling PC game; go figure?

Indeed and the biggest promise is the game with the vision we set out with. We haven't taken this decision lightly, but having to hamper the game to work offline would have meant that we couldn't deliver the game we're making.

Michael

You needed to let people know sooner and with reasons why. A last minute possible slip up (by the way it reads) and no apology is know way for us to find out about a major game mode change.
