Update 14 slated for 29 November. Non-spoiler news: new Thargoid Interceptor type & playstyle coming. More surprises coming alongside major narrative

Can someone please make text summary of interesting stuff from stream? ... Not everyone is good with English listening, like myself. ... Sigh, even Upd14 release day I have heard wrong.
Well, the title does that. I quit out after about half way to cook dinner and Arthur / Bruce mentioned a new Goid interceptor that hates to be seen that calls for help, and at several points had to stop themselves from saying more. They also alluded to update(s) after 14 and Arthur getting Excited™ after seeing the design doc.

Update 14 on the 29th, and a stream with interviews on the 1st. A buff next week to xenobiology, they said a significant payout increase. A new interceptor variant that is up to strange things that we have to work out for ourselves, when disturbed it will call for help. A new interceptor isn't all that we get, there are fundamental changes that they don't want to talk about. Buffs to ordinary AX weapons, so that those that don't want to do the guardian loops can also get into the game. Won't be as good as the Guardian (Salvation) stuff though. Some of the main highlights but there will be more, they are still working on engineering and other loops that the players have discussed.

A small TL;DW, let's see what happens.

Well this is absolutely overdue imho ... (y)

Why?

They said the best stuff will be the Guardian weapons, as it is currently
Making crap weapons better will not make them better, they will still be crap. Just a better crap.

Else they will face another outcry from the AX community like it happened with salvation weapons in their initial incarnation

Something being best in class doesn't automatically make every thing else garbage. It's just means they aren't as good. Easier entry point for AX combat is good. If players like and and want more they can grind Guardian stuff. Or they can wing up and work together and not grind. If you did the grind you're still equipped with the best. It's a win-win-win

The problem is the current AX weapons are SO bad players can't really do anything AX related. This is the main focus of the current narrative, so joining up only to find you're hundreds of hours from being able to participate is pretty frustrating.

I really like the idea myself, I just hope they don't forget Advanced weapons along the way, or leave them outclassed.

I'd also hope they take a look at some of the issues with Multicrew, like turreted flak not having the proper reticle, making it almost unuseable. Modified fighters with secondary Flak would be cool, too.

You can 1v1 a Cyclops with a non engineered ship and human AX weapons already and not be a pro at AX combat. So a buff to human AX weapons, plus multiple commander's in an AXCZ or wing, will go far to lower the floor. If anyone is serious about combat they will have some level of engineering already too.

I don't support the grindset Guardian tech is, but it being more optional for the best weapons is a good thing.

Yep Current AXI weapons can kill scouts and can kill cyclops easy.. but thats mainly it...you can combine with other players and do a tiny bit of damage on Bas but every one else does the real work..

I agree, but it is a daunting learning curve. Not something one is likely to do first try out of the box. Should help get more people to try I hope. Even polish partisans had a role to play during WW2. Not everyone can or should be the red baron (I know that was ww1).

Nope.
The current AX weapons, as in AX MC for example are good enough for Cyclops.
That's enough to get a taste for it.

Dumbing down the AX combat is not nice tbfh, and they already did that with salvation shards and (to a lesser extent) with salvation plasma chargers
