    Merits for ground battles

    Can I get merits for ground conflict zones? Merits are not given for winning, killing during battle, or for cashing in vouchers. I know you can get merits for killing the population of the opposing faction's station, but is there no way to get merits for ground battles?

    Since there is no way of knowing the progress of a conflict between 2 factions, without necessarily waiting for the daily tick, you could put a contact in a station, called "spy contact" which for a total of credits (like 20 million) gives you the score of the day for the conflict.
