1.1 working fine, no issues whatsoever.

Class 3's on large hardpoints?

I don't have any issues with them...? 2x C3 Beams on a python, even with an A7 distributor, it gets drained and then only one fires continuously, the other intermittently. Heat doesn't go over 110, unless I'm around a star.

Please explain?

the first paragraph of the first post in this thread implies its people's hardware and installed software that's causing the problem and that the patch is perfect, the truth is that its far from perfect as many people have found to their cost.

his subsequent post implies the ship destruction is caused by a combination of poor piloting and running without shields, again this is not the case.

in each the OP seeks to place the blame on the user that has the issues instead of the patch, if that's not white knighting i don't know what is.

having a system full of rubbish should in no way cause your ship to explode from a minor collision even if you run without shields.
You don't find it odd that some people are running for hours and hours, scraping the slot as usual, without exploding while others seem to explode at random? Maybe it isn't random - maybe there's a reason.

Maybe it's something the user did, maybe it isn't. Idk. From the point of view of someone that hasn't had this issue, it doesn't seem like white knighting. Meh, whatever floats your boat I guess.

maybe they are flying a different ship or a ship that has been configured differently?

for the record i have not had this issue but i know plenty of people that have, then again i left my ship out in space before the update and was lucky enough not to hit anything while docking so i don't know if it would have effected me or not.

This could be due to a timing issue with ED. The game is using plenty of threads, a slight unbalance in the timing can make certain functions not respond in time and cause all kinds of havoc. These could be fixed by increasing the latency tolerance for threads awaiting response from other threads.

Perhaps since I run with 6 cores, enough to run all threads on separate cores with none pushed beyond ~70% capacity, I experience no problems?

No, and no-one have said so either.

edit: Just saw that FD have confirmed an issue with scraping damage, so a hotfix should be inbound sometime tomorrow.

from the very first post in this thread:

PC software having to adapt to a bewildering array of hardware and windows-versions (and all the crap many install on top of that) that is not entirely unexpected.

Seen a few threads of people with issues regarding the 1.1 roll-out. PC software having to adapt to a bewildering array of hardware and windows-versions (and all the crap many install on top of that) that is not entirely unexpected.

I however got no issues. All is working fine. If anything, the game runs smoother now than in 1.07.

Some changes will take a bit getting used to. The new sounds, the new power-requirements of various modules, the new damage-models of various weapons. Others are great right off the bat. Love the new interface changes, and the map-routing is no longer slow as molasses. Not visited any Gas-Giants or densly populated Earth-Like worlds yet, so haven't had a chance to see the new planetary effects - apart from more depth in clouds from the barren rocks around which I keep my business for the time being.

I have noticed more details and variety in the outposts though. Not to sound wanting, but how about some more variety in stations? Surely that must be low hanging fruit in the immersion and assets department?

All in all, for me at least, 1.1 is a nice if small step forward. Game is getting better, no doubt. With wings in 1.2 and the rumored rewrite of NPC AI for that patch - and what ever else get crammed into it - we'll be looking at a major step forward.

Keep it up, and don't listen to the Carebears :)

Because the carebears really have anything to do with instant exploding bug, collision insta kill bug, PDT shooting down own missiles and a whole host of other features.

:)

FD screw up the update, they actually tested in beta, ignoring all the people who actually bothered to give feed back.....

But wait, the sock puppets and white knights are blaming the care bears?

Even the griefers would not do that!

To all the sock puppets, here's a hint...
Try not to unite the two main factions that are playing the game!
If you do that, they will start working together against the sock puppets...

My money would be on the "Bad news bears" any day!

No problems here either. Did collide with an eagle by mistake in an asp and destroyed them without collecting a bounty. Other than that moment of worry the whole thing has been very smooth. Super Sampling is fantastic, less stutter, much nicer to look at.

Only gripe is the name tags of the galaxy map keep getting clipped when inside the camera FOV making it hard to follow.
