1.4 HUD changes ruin Oculus Gameplay

Hello all. I don't post often, because VR support in ED has almost always been perfect for me. Upon recently returning to the game, I was disappointed to find that the crosshair has been repositioned closer to the pilot seat. I understand the reasoning behind the decision. It unifies the HUD in a way, but it is distracting from gameplay. Having the crosshair this close makes lining up with objectives and targets frustratingly imperfect. Since the HUD change, I have found myself playing the game almost entirely with one eye closed (ruining the depth created by the oculus rift) just so I can make sure my ship is lined up. This is the only issue I have had with this game so far, but it severely ruins my experience. Perhaps there is some way to make that sort of HUD unification an option in the graphics menu? I'm sure the way the HUD moves now might provide a nice effect on a monitor, but it makes VR feel really bad.

I posted about the same thing, it snnoys me quite a bit not being able to line up perfectly. Small thing, big annoyance! Change it back FD! It makes no difference to screen users but is super annoying for us!

I'm confused I haven't seen this yet. Very strange. Have you tried reseating yourself by pressing F12?

i reported this bug during the 1.4 beta. I was told it is under investigation, but it seems they don't seem to care too much about it. Here is the image i gave them

mouseDotIssue.png

flying with a mouse almost requires the mouse widget to be on so you can quickly find 0 again. Joysticks default to 0, mice dont. I've been flying with it off because the double image is just terrible, and i cant tell you how many times i'v undocked my ship then stated smashing my nose or tail into the pad because i move the mouse a bit while turning around. I have gotten better at flying with the widget turned off... but it was so nice having it in the first place. I always knew where my mouse was in relation to 0.
