I've read there's a problem if you have too many objects floating around you, such as emptying a rock of fragments all in one go, it dumps you out of the game. Try emptying rocks slowly to see if you still get kicked out.

I have gotten kicked out all evening, no matter what I do. After mining for a short while, I get kicked out. Really sucks when you lose that last bit of osmium you need to finish a 200,000 Cr mission. Don't even try mining before they've fixed it. I have three missions totalling over 600,000 Cr that I will fail simply because I get kicked out over and over again. REALLY annoying because this is the first time I've had the time to play Elite in about two weeks.
Getting to be a bit of a feature of this game - I only bought it 2 weeks ago, so I'm hoping the way the servers keep dying over the last few days is going to prove a bit of a one off post patch glitch, rather than a regular occurrence.
Got kicked out again half an hour back, says it's unable to access the aurthentication server....am I to presume something crashed again? Is there a thread where 'they' let people know about server status? (As, quite clearly, the little green 'servers are fine, thanks for asking' indicator on the login screen lies like a cheap Changi watch).

Le sigh. And here I am with all this free time this afternoon (I'm in Portland, Oregon, USA). This is sub-optimal.

Edit: I'd suggest FD makes this play automatically when the servers are down; straight from the launcher.

That's pretty fun, thanks for the link. Of course, if they had that play straight from the launcher, that would require other servers that might in turn go down, which would in turn require... well, you get where I'm going...

Ok, shorter version - thanks for the info, it might be nice if FD told ALL users about crashes, not just the Xbox ones though!

This is getting to be a major pain in the ass now, everytime I try to get a bloody game the servers have issues, and now they are down, is there any news as to when they're going to be back up? I know, the answer could be in this very thread, but I just CBA to look, too tired, been up for 26 hours, horrendous night shift earlier. I JUST WANT TO PLAY! (this game)

Speaking of which, I just did my first one, I think--can someone confirm if this is what would qualify? It was 2 tons of personal weapons from Mansfield Orbital in Epsilon Indi (BTW, where the heck is the Indi Bourbon??) to some outpost a few jumps away, for about 195K cr. Not too shabby. Does my rep only take a hit if I'm caught/scanned?
