I think the beta is a separate install so it should be the same install on the main to bring it up to par. After the beta closes you might as well uninstall it to save you the space

Yes, it is in a separate folder, but if assets haven't changed between beta minor release versions (such as the audio clips for your hails when docking and the background stuff in the station), then copying it from the beta folder would reduce the stress on the patch server from their end. It would also speed up patching for anyone who already has the latest beta installed.

The launcher should do the copy process on its own by now. The option is called "enable virtual cache".

So is anyone else having trouble getting on the beta servers right now? They are supposed to be up.

Please note that you require the Beta Upgrade package from the Frontier Store, and you will have to have installed the entire beta game separately.
