Well I wouldn't call a billion credits "a ton", but that and having the ships I want has me firing up the game and asking myself what do I want to do today? As you say, it is a much more enjoyable experience.

Congrats on NOT getting to a billion credits quickly! You're clearly playing the game to enjoy it rather than racing to get the end-game ships.
Yep, that was the main point of posting it. I think what helped me was that I got a chance to play the Anaconda in beta and realized it wasn't for me. I like the small and medium sized ships which don't require a lot of grinding to upgrade and maintain. My credits are fairly evenly earned between mining, combat, trading and exploration in that order.
I recently crossed the 538,407 CR mark last night. Yeah!

Of course, about a month ago during a CG I decided I should trade in my Anaconda for an iCutter to do the Trade runs during CGs.....THEN I cared!
Cost something like 600mCR to A-Rate and fit out (without the Reactive armour of course)!
So, sorry to say 1 Billion credits aint what it used to be!

Some time ago I reached my personal goal since my latest commander reset and finished fully A specced Anaconda. Now she is lying on shipyard somewhere while I am enjoying the small oddjobs around the galaxy in my Cobra3.

Main account has 6Bn as cash and 2nd one 3Bn. Both have double that in assets...
And I'm a pauper! Other players have way more than 30Bn. But I figured that 6Bn would be enough to buy anything FDev decide to add to the game.

I have multiple billions plus the value of the 6 ships in my "flotilla".
The last one bought was an FGS and I haven't flown it as it needs attention.
You can only fly 'em one at a time. I spend most of the time in the Corvette and Python, The others, Anaconda, Cobra III, FDL, FGS, are seldom used.
