I live within 10 miles of Downtown LA in California, US. The fastest internet connection available within a several mile radius of where I live is a 3 Mbps provided by Verizon. No other carrier options are available because of anti-consumer dealings with other internet providers (by agreeing on "turfs" where they have decided not to compete).
Just five minutes ago I read Newsletter #50 to find that the minimum internet connection for single player mode is 10 Mbps.
"We have also ensured that the solo play mode has a minimal network requirement(about 10 kbps)."
I currently have "steel wool" butterflies in my stomach. For so long I was looking forward to this game, a game I have now learned my friends and I cannot play. I don't know whether to wait and hope that this requirement is lowered or to ask for a refund. I'm in limbo
Edit: Furthermore, the 10 Mbps should be shown in the requirements, not just "internet connection".
EDIT: CAN'T BELIEVE I SCREWED THAT UP!!! FALSE ALARM!!! SOMEHOW SCREWED UP Mbps WITH Kbps!!!
Discussion can be deleted.
