Post your interesting facts here! I will put them here:
1. Many stations, like Aulin Enterprise, have day and night cycles.
2. If you SC inside the orbit of the station you pretty much always end up facing the right way when you drop out.
3. Elite: Dangerous is indeed Carebears: Safety
4. If you can be bothered to set your throttle to zero when docked you won't go flying off all over the place when you launch
5. If you can be bothered to throttle back in hyperspace you won't crash out of super cruise at the other end
6. Sitting in an anarchy system and shooting other players is valid play (albeit with that there is a bug with shooting into no fire zones)
7. It's not EVE
8. A starter sidewinder can take on 3 NPC Cobras, or NPC Eagles in combat and come out a successful winner. Think about that the next time you say it's hard.
9. There is an operational fan duct in the roof immediately over year head when docked in the hanger.
10. when you're IN a station, facing any of its walls, avoid using boost or speaking about anything whilst on voiceattack...
11. There is an original 1984 Elite manual in the Sidey's side pocket, along with a flask of (probably) tea.
12. Ship power management groups: systems assigned to group 2 are higher priority than group 1 systems.
13. Azeban City's advertisements are scattered around the entrance, unlike placed in rows, like at most stations.
14. At the bottom of the functions tab in your ship, there is a self destruct button.
15. The self destruct button has no countdown, you just almost instantly die.
16: An unwritten rule for ships larger then the type 6: When entering or leaving a space station is to stay on the GREEN side of the entry hatch, and not to use the RED.
17. ED doesn't run very well on an Intel HD 4600 GPU.
3. Elite: Dangerous is indeed Carebears: Safety
