As first post says 12:00 GMT is estimated release time. My Elite Dangerous Folder is 3.53Gb in size.

Download the Launcher and install it where you want the game installed ie D:\Games\Elite Dangerous or whatever, the Launcher will download the client to same location supposedly.
.
You should expect to see a few players in open at least in the starting systems, not exactly sure how random the start points are but I would not expect 1 System per person.
It will also depend on your connection and possibly global location (not sure if that ever got put in) as to how you will be instanced with others.

Thank you sir for your kind answers.

My main fear is, this beautiful looking game somehow will be consumed too fast by the players, and we will drasticly loose some good player numbers in 1-2 months. Yeah there are lots to do in the game, but at some point, i'm afraid that it will be very little left to do.

i hope i'm wrong :)

The latest released build as of last night was about 3.5Gigs. Release time in your timezone (and mine) will be at around 2PM today.

Im currently at work and wont be home until like 17:00 CET at best. Can I trust you guys to tell us unlucky peeps what it's like?

Do you have an official source for it being exactly 12:00? I've only seen "midday" which seems a bit more vague. Really hope it's released soon so I can start downloading before work. :)
