15 Financial projections

Since one of the engineers needs 15 forecasts is there any way to stable production ?
Even if it is long, but most importantly stable.
I have already searched a bunch of residential buildings and even collected a lot of opinion polls. But I found only two forecasts.

They are not given as a reward for the mission, they can not be exchanged.

I made a run of 7 repetitions in the tourist settlement in anarchy, there are 7 data ports. out of all these attempts (7*7=49 port scans) i got 1 financial forecast. Maybe someone knows how their fallout depends on the status of the system and so on?

My situation is similar to yours. I have searched very many times and only got 2 pieces. If this is random then it is very cruel.
The settlement was 6 ports, but because 2 were always people and did not want to kill them, I searched only 4 ports. Then I returned to the orbit and repeated the action, and so 10 times.

I think the idea is very simple, as always - just money. dull grind pushes you to small variations such as changing a skin or a couple of shaking heads. and besides, you can always say - just do not do grind haha. well, and longer the player sits in the game - the better statements. look - they play without a break. Why not? It makes sense. :p

IND/EXT/AGRI ports are all better than HABs
Unless you mean the rare HAB port in one of these buildings, I can't recall ever seeing Financial Projections in anything else but HAB ports. Inara currently also reports they're only found there.

It might, but if you're in an anarchy system/settlement that "pollutes" the loot table with additional Opinion Polls and Smear Campaign Plans, effectively reducing the chance of finding other data.

There are a few extraction settlement layouts with large warehouses that have three HAB ports, on top of the ports in the hab buildings themselves. That and the better chance of tech assets (and more valuable goods) makes extraction settlements better for raiding IMO.

I thought I'd seen them elsewhere, but was not sure so didn't comment earlier.

Now I have proof:

A strange thing has been happening to me for a few days now. I go into the game, take missions or just fly to the settlement receive financial projections 1-2 and that's it. As I would not fly more on the settlement, the various systems, etc. I no longer find projections. The next day the situation is repeated.
I even went out to the menu and came back....

Maybe it is tied to the time of the game ? After all, we get ARXs once a day, maybe here as well ?

Financial Projections are in the game. I collected 3 just yesterday from one settlement. Anarchy System and Settlement, High Tech Economy and ensure no backup troops are called in (snipe everyone and shut off those Settlement Alarms).

Took me ages to find them, although the "grind" doesn't bother me as I realised the bit I was enjoying was doing all the missions and once I've upgraded everything I'll have less reason to be doing them. It's the journey not the destination and all that.
Actually, collecting financial projections is not doing all the missions. This data cannot be obtained by killing, delivery, espionage, etc.
Just like surveys are a narrow specialization performing essentially the same thing.

Basically this.
If you concentrate on one thing it will send you mad, i just played and did missions, slowly i got all the stuff i needed for the unlocks, but it took time.
The only item i ground out was Power Regs by just hitting an anarchy settlement 50ish times.
By the time i had all the unlock data i had a shed load of materials for the suit/weapon upgrades i needed too.

...
Yup.
I can do a high PVE CZ fairly easily with the grade 3 gear I've found for sale.
I've upgraded a couple things to 4 and a Mav suit to 5, but that's mainly from things that I've found , mission rewards plus some trades.
Some day I'll unlock some more engineers and get some upgrades, but it won't be soon.

I popped back from the Black to rejig some mining ships and decided to get my Mav to G5, 2 weps to G5 and unlock Oden for the night vision, trouble is i got hooked and have now put off my return journey to Lyra's Song back to Feb at least :)

Yeah, there's no point in rushing to unlock the engineers anyway, not until you've actually levelled some gear up to get the mod slots to use the engineers.

Since the release of Odyssey, I've also just been playing it. I got all the level 5 costumes I needed a long time ago. Modified them and all the weapons I needed all the way through.
I'm constantly changing materials and selling data from the warehouse to free it up.
Maybe my problem is that I don't play relogs and just do missions.
And then I found that I can not find surveys I long tormented with them until I found that this engineer I do not need.
But then I see that we need forecasts for night vision and it is already bad.
With all this is a level 2 engineers and for those who go after them I have everything for a long time.
And all the materials and data for the modifications I need also have long ago.

PSA: please don't do this if you want there to continue to be anarchy settlements. If you really need lots of power regs, the thing to do is to use Inara to find a system with lots of settlements and many factions in negative states. Go there, take as many restore/reactivate missions as you can, and abandon them to keep the regulator. You can get 50-60 this way before you go from neutral to hostile with the factions.
