15 Gig update is too large.

It seems people with the PS4 Pro have most of the problems.

Not to take the thread too far off topic, but I'm on PS4 Slim and this is what I'm getting (among many other bugs):

When people said they want ED to be more like FE2, I don't think they are talking about the graphics. Like the OP, I so do wish I could go back to 2.3 right now...

I live 5 miles west of the middle of nowhere. I run my PS4 on my I-phone hotspot. Who would I need to speak to to get a dvd of the new game. I bought the old one 3 weeks ago and thought it was fine. Now I can't play.

If anything this is a small update compared to some games out there, GTA V or other games have much bigger updates, and a game like Star Citizen, has a gigantic size and patch size, granted that is PC only for now, but it is an indication of sizes to come.
Unfortunately American's with bad connections (assumption, yes, but generally also goes for others) are in short getting the short end of the stick. Best you really can do is figure out a way to get a better connection, figure out something with your local community, but if its due to oligopoly of the big isp's well yeah, then you need to voice your opinion to your politician's so they don't do the anti consumer and anti competitive things they are doing in the USA, heck make them not kill net neutrality in USA.

But it really, really isn't something games should hold themselves back for, it would severely hamper much development in games, as much as it sucks for those that don't have, you really can't cramp down on it like that.

What you could do though, is if you have a friend that also plays it, have them backup the game folder onto USB via Playstation backup or moving to extended storage, and ship you the USB stick. Course I believe this may need their profile on your computer, can't remember, haven't tried giving a backup to another, I really can't remember.

No - i don't think that works because the game file is tied to your profile. I did think you could do a straightforward updated to USB but apparently someone says this isn't the case - i never tried it - but i know it works for the official PS system updates. So - i guess while we can sympathise with the OP - thems the breaks living in the middle of bu*&uck nowhere.
