There's support for both sides of the issue. Leaving CGs vulnderable to the BGS is helpful for players who align with the political factions and only participate in CGs that affect their chosen faction, but it harms the gameplay of those who are apolitical and participate in CGs because they enjoy the CGs on their own merits.
We've also had far more numerous examples of CGs being interrupted due to coincidental BGS changes than due to deliberate player activities.
Yes - but I thought they said the solution was to increase the difficulty to push a system to lockdown. Not prevent the mechanism entirely.
These are more and more clear not community 'goals' they are community participation efforts and players don't drive ANYTHING in regards to the story. It's an illusion and this proves it as there is now no possible way to legitimately contest a CG.
I could agree with a previously unknown CG being launched in a lockdown system and they flip a switch to change that at the very beginning to allow the CG to kick off. But after that players should be allowed to shut it down if they so desire.
