2.3 when?

Am I right in thinking there's another update due before the end of "season 2"?

If that's the case, I guess it's something else that's going to motivate FDev to get 2.3 out the door ASAP.

If there's going to be a 2.4, that's gotta be ready for beta-testing in June(?) for release in August at the latest.
Which means they're only going to have around 8 weeks to get that ready.

2.4 won't happen before fall at the earliest, probably not before the end of the year, so plenty of time for that.

That's a pretty misinformed comment that stinks of paranoia against games companies and lacks the facts.

The beta is no where near ready has nothing to do with money, and I expect Frontier get very little income from people buying the beta.

My guess is another 4 weeks before a launch and couple of more patches.

Why?

I'm pretty sure we won't see 2.4 in June. The delay for 2.1 was not an exception (as we once thought). Looks like 2.3 will be the update with the longest time span between its release and its predecessor.

Lets hope it gets released when its ready, not when the "We demand the patch now" threads start appearing on this forum.

Wouldn't it be nice for FD to just for once release a patch that is actually tested and not broken.

Let us not forget the months of heat abuse when the engineers were released.

Just look at Star Citizen, they started development year before ED and they're not even out of alpha yet.

SC started working on engine year before ED KS, elite has finished engine on KS that Braben writing for 20years. So comparing them is silly expecially now when season2 is year behind original one year timeframe.
Ppl writing nonsenses on these forums.
