Okay that's it. After a fight, I am making an avatar of my SO, and letting her suffocate.
The animation is skipped because it would be boring to sit there 10 hours waiting for rescue.

OK it sounds morbid but I'm keen to see what happens in vanity view as I run out of air

Presumably the animation for holographic crew will be to point and laugh at the suffocating pilot?
I don't see why it will not be that protective visors will flip over the face when the canopy is breached.
