2.4 Route Plotter - don't get it (jet-cone option)

Hope someone can help me: I don't get the new neutron star route plotter introduced with 2.4. I expected to have something similar to spansh just ingame.

With my Conda in my current loadout I've tested to plot a route from Lelae to Boelts CG-X D1-280:

You mention your current loadout. Might I ask if you have changed your fuel capacity?

From what I can tell the route plotter using Jet Cone Boost only takes in account those dwarf and neutron stars that are closest to the shortest route. While it might be possible to diverge from such a course, to say, another dwarf or neutron star, and shorten the route more by a less-direct route, the route plotter does try to calculate the most direct route to your destination. As a test run, post beta, I made a 6200 Light Year trip out and back, 12,400 Ly round-trip.

Roughly 200 jumps in either direction, with 5 neutron boosts on the way out, and 3 on the way back. I'm just happy to be able to plot 20k courses rather than 20 1k courses.

Neutrons are dangerous, If I was on a first discovery exploration I wouldnt use. But to get around fast they are hreat, didnt know about going up or down, I just went bubble to colonia direct via outposts, galmap plotter was pretty good.
