Various ships got chrome at various times in the past, always being sold for a limited time. A lot of them (and lots of wireframe paintjobs) were to be had last December, I hope they all make a return this year.

Various ships got chrome at various times in the past, always being sold for a limited time. A lot of them (and lots of wireframe paintjobs) were to be had last December, I hope they all make a return this year.
I only have one sitting in my garage as I am collecting all the ships. It's just lame to offer a reward and never give it. Guess that serves me right for trying to do a CG and the two times before that they ended within an hour or so (something in Maia, by the time I jumped there it was already over). No more CGs for me, complete pain in the butt for rewards that are not even remotely worth the trouble. Hours of hauling stuff for a few credits when I do 20M/hour in relaxed tourist missions in my U.S.S. Flipper.
I'd love a chrome skin for the popular ships (Asp Ex, Conda, FDL, Clipper, Imp Eagle, Cobra mkIII etc), but last year the wonderboys at FD only released the chrome skins for the stupidest ships, they litteraly started at the bottom of the popular-ships list. I can't check to see if I even got any as the servers are down again... GG

I think it would be a thing to get a complete list of all stuff we amassed by preordering, taking part of events (PAX, Yogscast, ...), CG and other opportunities.

Yea, welcome to the club.
CG lasted for what, few hours before it got completed and it was during christmas time on top of it.
So basically if you fly an eagle and missed the extremely small window of time, sucks to be you.
I of course could not be there obviously, like many others.
Best part is Eagles are all I fly. Engineered the hell outta one and I can't even get the ONE pain job I've ever really wanted due to this.. thing.
I did contact support and asked if I could basically throw money at them to get it considering that CG went under the radar for most of us and all that.
Got an automated-like response that basically meant ''f'off''.
I've never met a company that hell bent on NOT wanting their customer's money. They keep creating new crap looking paint jobs for sale that nobody really wanna buy but they refuse to sell the ones that'd make em the most money.

I seriously get the idea that they are trying to lose money. They can't even put a "new items" category in their store so people can see what has been added recently. Now it's basically a CG just to see what is new in the store: I found out on the forum that there is a new T9 paint pack, not that I have one, but if it takes people posting to the forum to know there is something new in the store, you have failed at marketing.
Also, I'd gladly pay €1 per paintjob, but they are forcing people to pay €4 for a 6 pack that has 4-5 paintjobs you don't want. If you could pick and chose the seperate skins, they'd sell a hell of a lot more than they do now at a higher profit. I guess coming up with more useless CGs is more important than making money though. Seriously, who does CGs anymore; zero pay, always ends too soon, has stupid and repetitive goals? You can make 10M with a single run in your Asp doing a tourist mission within 300ly, why the hell would you spend a few days hauling worthless junk for a 1M payout, or 10M if you seriosuly have no life or brain?
Then the people that bought the Asp Explorer Ship Kit that basically got ripped off as the new Raider kit has more parts and 6 free paintjobs for €1 extra. Everything about their marketing screams F! you.
