It's really just going to be the same 25 animals repeated over and over again lol
AS IT VERY WELL SHOULD, MY FRIEND.
Us Bird Bois have been playing second fiddle to the Mammal Majority for long enough, our time of reckoning is at hand.
You see, I have business associates, friends of ours we'll say... I hear any more bird slander around these parts, and just maybe a flock shoebill storks will be paying a visit to some gaming computers, caphice?

We really don't need a subset of the metawishlist.
Why not? It gives us all something to play with while we wait for the winter dlc + shows Frontier our ongoing desire for more habitat birbs (I think they're well aware of that desire by this point, but seeing x number of people enthusiatistically say they wish for a duck may influence whether or not we get a duck so..)

There's loads I could add that I'm not going to at this point because without knowing how birds will / might be implemented it's difficult to know what would work. so all the mentions here are either really popular or really obviously fit with the way habitat birds work now. Nothing in between so we end up with the same list. For example I could add Caracaras to the list which do fly but spend a lot of time on the ground and would bring us a bird of prey but they could fit in either category depending on the mechanics. Fingers crossed that a December DLC is bird related because I think we'd know a lot better what Frontier's plans are and therefore how to prioritise our picks!

Crested Caracara would probably make the most sense although I always liked working with the Striated a bit better because they tended to be a bit less full of energy

Well, then Frontier will have an easy time figuring out which 25 birds to add.
Because it has no added value and dilutes the meta-wishlists. If it's just fir fun that's fine, but ot should be clarified as such, not presented as a serious discussion.

I'm sure Frontier will be able to decide themselves what they should take serious and what they shouldn't. This forum is a rather small part of the community, and there might end up being like 20-30 participants in this thread. Could it provide some ideas they haven't thought of? Maybe.
But I doubt they are going to make bigger decisions based on that.

We can only just hope it will make them reconsider ignoring birds so badly, and that is only a fair agenda to push.

But chances are they are never even going to notice the existence of this thread anyway.

I know you said 25 but I think in terms of terrestrial birds we would get like 15 more Max. The main things we don't have yet are thin long legged wandering birds like the secretary or curlew. I think the most important though is the Kiwi to get for new Zealand rep.
I wanted to clarify that I wanted to vote the royal spoonbill rather than the reseated one. I had just written spoonbill initially because I didn't know there were multiple species.
