282k Ls ... Really?

What I would like is the option to warp directly to the star you choose. AFTER you discover/surface scan it.

I agree. The system primary as default jump target, but any 'discovered' body with vaguely stellar mass as another option. It would open up many more outlying stations to regular traffic. Currently a lot of people (and I) will look at a 100k Ls journey, sigh, and decide to go to another system for 3T of Indite or whatever. Any station (and in future, planet) sufficiently far from the jump point may as well only be there for illustration, since it will serve no purpose for players.

This might kind of kill the point of Hutton Station in Alpha Centauri, so an exception is justified there, but otherwise..

Have a feeling you might be right but it could be confirmation bias. Would like official confirmation at some point, or at least give us the ability to jump between stars that are over 250,000LS away.

I did the journey to Pinzon dock (1,760,000LS from Nav Beacon), and it took me 2.5 hours pre-interdiction-nerf as I was getting interdicted every few minutes... That was frustrating, although I did manage to make 400K CR in bounties from the interdictors.

I'd love to be greeted by a swivel-eyed looney old guy with a white beard, who says, "We don't get many visitors 'round these parts... I'd like to introduce you to my sister, she makes rather nice cakes."

LOL for the old guy

It's just a theory, I'll try a few system tonight to see

EDIT

On monday someone posted a thread about a strange 'object' he saw on the horizon. He went investigating and turned out to be a VERY distan cluster of black holes and blue supergiants, lemme look for the link

Nada, good and informative posts have away of disappearing in oblivion on these boards

*very distant as in at the edge of the galaxy (he travelled all the way there and made a fortune in exploration data - and screenshots)

Not only that, but both stations are crappy outposts with a long line of empty players waiting impatiently to be re-supplied. And perhaps some pirates? So, naturally, you go to the neighboring system, re-supply and never come back. I know i did. So much to do in the galaxy instead of standing in the queue for half an hour every half an hour, because someone threw a dart and posted a new conflict zone without checking where the dart actually landed.. On the bright side, the sights at the conflict zone are glorious.
