3 Sets Of DLC- Dinosaurs, Birds of the world (That actually fly), and Marine Animals Of the World

I know these have been touched on in previous posts, but I figured combining these requests into one post would be helpful. Would be nice to see a variety of dinosaurs added to have a futuristic zoo, or prehistoric zoo. Also having birds from a variety of parts of the world in one DLC and have the actually fly requiring an aviary like toucan, parrot, eagle, owl, etc. (like a walk through exhibit format for some). As well as a DLC with fish from around the world (dolphins, sharks, and a variety of smaller fish, octopus, squid).

I think it was mentioned by someone at Frontier that they would not be doing dinosaurs or other extinct animals. I would recommend either Jurassic World Evolution or Prehistoric Kingdom for those. Marine and avian animals are definitely highly requested and have been talked about extensively. I truly wish we'd get flying birds, but I've also accepted it's not going to happen. Devs are welcome to prove me wrong though and it would actually make me more happy than anything else.

Yeah I figured on the dinos, it would just be nice to mix the 2 kinds of zoos. Prehistoric Kingdom and JWE2 are both limiting on how much you can really do with the limited amount of dinosaurs.
Marine and avian are kind of surprising that we have not seen more of. People have mods, but so many mods actually break the game, so official DLC for them would be really nice. The flight thing in the walk-through exhibit format solves things, as we see with butterflies and bats.

Ugh, I hated the prehistoric pack in zoo tycoon 2, hope it never enters planet zoo, we have juraasic world evolution for that.

If they ever do it, limit it to megalania, megatherium, titanoboa, thylacine, dodo, mammoth, terror birds and that kind of creatures

What was wrong with the ZT2 Extinct Animals DLC? I may have preferred the mammoth over the mastodon, but other than that, it’s not bad.

I agree with the sentiment about dinosaurs and extinct animals. They do not belong in this game. If you want to build a Pleistocene themed area, you have plenty of animals to put in it: Wisent, American Bison, Saiga, Przewalski’s Horse, Reindeer, Lions, Hyenas, Brown Bears… the list goes on!

yeah, I see this point. I think bird and fish/aquatics packs would be preferred/prioritized

Tbh I think stuff like dinosaurs and extinct mammals being combined with modern animals in a zoo game would be a really neat idea, but Planet Zoo is just not the right game for that in my opinion. It's a neat idea I guess, but at this point I cannot imagine PZ trying to go that route. The game has been so grounded in modern day animals up until this point that it would be a massive shift to go in the other direction.

Maybe someday we'll get a new zoo game that combines covering those two different niches. I can't really think of any modern game that has, the only games I can think of that did that were ZT2 and some of those really niche old Wildlife Park games. It would be really cool to see a modern high-quality take on that concept, although my concern is that such a game would be so wide in its scope and so ambitious that it might not be possible to make it happen. Not to mention, what type of game studio would want to take on such a colossal task? I can't imagine Frontier doing it, since right now they're making so much money keeping JWE and PZ separate from one another. Maybe someday they might try to combine those two types of games into one big ultimate game, but right now I can't see them doing it.

Yeah, it is ambitious for sure. Honestly, planet zoo does not even have to go the route of a complete new game (Planet Zoo 2), as we saw Cities: Skylines go that route and it destroyed their brand. They can keep doing updates and adding animal/building DLC to keep the money flowing with less effort than trying to completely build a new game. There are so many animals that they can dd yet, that they have years worth of content releases they could do, with simply maintaining and updating the current game

No avían Dinosaurs: NO

We are missing important extant animals still and the zoo has some kind of a focus in conservation. There is no place for species extinct millions of years ago.

Also You have PK and JWE for zoos with extinct animals.

Avían Dinosaurs Aka Birds: YES!!!!!

I’d much rather have some dinosaur props in game. Like big plastic dinosaur and Ice Age animal sculptures, which are EXTREMELY common zoo features. Even then, I’m not missing them. But I wouldn’t knock them.

my dinosaur pack.

With the right idea and execution, I would really like to see some recently extinct species like Tasmanian Tiger or Quagga as maybe a mini DLC, like a “pack of the past” kind of concept. As for dinosaurs, no. Takes out the entire point of a realistic zoo game, only reason the recent extinct animals work is cause they serve as a lesson to not let current animals end up extinct and to get a second chance to bring the species back from the brink. We have JWE2 and Prehistoric Kingdom, doesn’t make any sense for them to add Dino’s to PZ to make it compete with the other 2 games.

Flying birds? Love em, but we probably won’t get them.
Aquatics? Personally I don’t care if we don’t get them, but that’s just me. Most definitely won’t get them anyway.

hey Charlie, out of context but why do you dislike the snub-nosed monkey, I personally don't want it because it is uncommon, and we need way more monkeys. beside these downsides I would not mind it.
