I guess it does make a lot sense in that way. Although I'm not curtain if anyone would confuse a Dik-Dik with a Nyala:Wouldn't count on accurate info from gamereviewers sites. Some reviewers just get 30 minute playtime with the game, and they base they review on those few minutes. or just watch the E3 demo.

Most likely they mistaken some species: Baboon -> Mandrill, Thompson's Gazelle or Nyala -> Dik-Dik, Alligator -> Gharial.
Seen this article pop up multiple times, mostly accompanied with a conspiracy theory, "proving" Frontier didn't release all species in the base-game and want us to pay for "base game" animals.

Several times I have seen a picture of a young Dik Dik standing on a zookeeper's office table been shared on Facebook under the caption 'Baby Giraffe'. If thousands of people on social medias don't know how a baby giraffe look, then I wouldn't trust a couple of 'gamereviewers' to be able to tell species of antelopes, crocodilians and primates apart.

I think the community would happily accept another antelope species (Kudu, Hartebeest, dik dik, saiga, oryx, addax are all on my wishlist)
I would love to see another large Africa dlc with new antelopes, rhinos, meerkats and other highly requested African species. (It's just a shame Africa is already overrepresented compared to other continents)

I think the overwhelming majority on this forum have an interest in the animal species but there's a large group who just play the game for building zoos/management and most likely never heard of some species before playing the game. I've seen some people comment they never heard about pygmy hippos before this.
When my local zoo moved to a new location, in the beginning they didn't have any signs near the habitat. Well, you'd be surprised how many don't know wat species they are looking at - without the signs.
