300 Ly from Start?

Hi. Im 3 weeks in (and loving it) however l could do with some advice re Engineers. Im currentky at Titans Daughter (aprox 400 ly from Sol). However the Engineer requirement of unlocking by travelling at least 300 ly from start is still locked ! Any advice would be v much appreciated

take a trip out to the California Nebula, join the CG out there, that's 600Ly away, should help

You can see how far you have traveled from start in your right UI panel.
Use that and your galmap.

You don't start from Sol. It's either LHS 3447 (non-Horizons) or Asellus Primus (Horizons). The measurement is taken from whichever of those it was for you.

Cheers all. After saving to menu and reloading the invite message popped straight up. Didnt have to travel another inch..

You will find that is the case on a lot of issue in the game. For some reason one must exit the game by going to menu to get their various rewards of progression. Before asking a question such as the one you did, I always try exiting first and then back to what I was doing and the majority of the time, the issue I had is fixed. Not always, but most of the time.
