>3000 shields on a Corvette?

Interesting.
Though I don't understand why the Corvette pilot didn't low wake. Or wasn't able to win the interdiction.

What is this kind of a HUD?
Excuse me I'm on PS4, but all these HUD elements on right and left side are not available on PS4. Is this game internal or another add-on software?

Definitely a weapon to consider? Is this guardian stuff? Please forgive me, I'm still apart from two FSDs completely legacy pre 3.0 engineered and haven't participated in the guardian run so far.

Thanks for sharing.

Those are PC only (add on) features and it's a tech broker item: https://inara.cz/galaxy-techbroker/

I just watched the video, good fight - how are they against point defence?

EDIT: just saw your vs python video, doesn't look like PD does much...

I'm just sharing them; they're CMDR Na'Qan's work.

Quick update, got the flechette launchers.
Very interesting indeed.

Observation #1, they could use an arming delay!
I had them blow up in my face quite a few times because I forgot to hold down the trigger.
It does immediate hull and module damage too, hahaha...

Killed an NPC Python, eventually.
That was a learning experience.
Somehow I got all of the modules down to 0% except for the PP and shield generator, and maybe the FSD.

But it still had 3 rings of shields and didn't blow up!
It took at least 10 mins of firing, synthesis, and chasing down the rapidly cooling ship to deal more damage.
At the end I could only hold target lock to about 600m, then the impact of the flechette missiles would push it too far away and off of lock!

Too funny.
Anyhow, back to your regularly scheduled programming...

I'm guessing it's going to be like the first time a pilot goes from gimbaled to learning fixed weapons; it's going to take a LOT of patience to get the timing down.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't aware of what was happening until it was too late and he had all kinds of malfunctions. He might of just been thinking "Lololol look at the cute little Viper kicking at my shins with his puny, ineffectual missiles!"

Yeah, Na'Qan even sacrifices shields as a ruse with the Python.

Sneaky and awesome, both Cmdr and weapon!

I think the worst part will be switching between PAs, rails and these.
Brain fart city!

On one occasion I couldn't get them to work at all, on an MC equipped FDL with multiple point defense.
I'm not sure if they were crossing the bullet stream or getting shot down by the PD, but I couldn't land a single shot.
The missiles would disappear before they were close enough to trigger.

It deserves some testing for sure.

Picked up a set of these today. Haven't fought a player yet, but they are tons of fun. Mounted four on the FDL and roared around a High Intensity Conflict Zone with a couple wingmates. Point defense was problematic. Had to get in close to defeat it consistently.

Still debating what to put in the huge slot. Huge Efficient PA was good. Ran one firegroup with the missiles then switched to the PA when the shields went down. Considering a high yield cannon, but I understand the penetration is a bit wonky?

Anyway, felt a lot like this guy:

:D

Haha, they are fun indeed.
They did a nice job on the missile UI.
I like seeing this!

Glad the videos I posted help shed some insight to how these new weapon work. There are limitations though, MRPs does play a huge roll at absorbing the shrapnels that penetrates the hull. I find that it's much easier to go for the thrusters and then go for the power plant. Only because the thrusters are more exposed, and the MRPs are not as effective on external modules. This recent target had Prismatic Shields with 4 shield boosters. There was no way I could quickly drop it with conventional weapons, he would've hi/lo waked before it will come to close dropping his shields. But he failed to realise that his drives were being shredded.

My next plan is to take out thrusters then drift away and go in Silent Running. Once I'm in silent running, my hope is that the disabled enemy ship will think I've disengaged and will attempt a reboot and repair. At this point, the shields will drop while the ship boots up, then ill return with super pen dumb fires to take out the power plant.

It's hard to not be a fan when the action is this diabolical.
