Hardware & Technical 3D Printed T-Flight Hotas Attachment

I wanted some dedicated buttons for rarely used ship functions so I designed this attachment for the Thrustmaster T-flight X. The attachment uses the existing screws to attach to the throttle. Uses an arduino micro and a handful of 12mm switches sourced on amazon. I plan on adding some button labels after I make a final decision on the bindings.

Here is a link to the files if anyone wants to print their own. The arduino is using a joystick library by MHeironimus (LINK).

REP for coolness factor.

Pretty cool now you need to take it a step further and paint it black.

Yep, planning on making the final version out of black PETG and adding white text labels. I started this design because I could never remember the key bindings for landing gear, galaxymap, cargoscoop, etc..

Plus it's just ridiculously cool to have something that is so exactly bespoke. Do the buttons have LEDs? I really wish Elite had an API so you could have LEDs triggered by states. EG weapons deployed.

Thanks for sharing the file! I've been wanting to make something just like that but didn't know how. I'm currently using a rectangular plastic project box and although it works, it doesn't exactly look the part.

Basically what I did was take the T-Flight joystick apart and place the internal PCB into the project box. I then wired the connections that went to the 8 buttons on the joystick to buttons from an electronics store on the project box. Now I have a throttle and 8 extra buttons to map to anything I want. For a joystick, I bought a T-1600. Works great!

Awesome, I think I might have to print it.
and convert my number pad mod into it.
Sorry can't upload photos at the moment all of the websites I use have stopped hotlinks :(
but its up on Facebook Elite: Dangerous Community

SCB/HS = shield cell and heat sink.
RAM = 4 pips to sys.
RUN = 4 pips to eng.
ROCK = 3 pips to wep.

Using voice attack without voice to control the 4 button macros. Created a batch file that starts voice attack, open broadcast and Elite launcher with one click from the start bar. Works great!
