4 modded ships in a HAZRES.

Or self-regulate, and un-engineeer the stuff until the game becomes fun again.
The choice is there.

People paid for the ability to Engineer their ship, and most certainly everyone expected that there would be new content making use or requiring the use of that paid feature, just like HAZRES was added after the introduction of Wings. But if you have to deliberately not use features you've paid for because it imbalances the game and kills the fun, chances are you wont be as eager to part with your money next time.
This is common sense and I can only assume you're trying to be contrarian for the sake of being contrarian here, which is unfortunately way too common around here.

so nerf myself? what was then the point of the whole engineer stuff.
there are loads of people like me, that went crazy with it. and not even to min/max, i enjoy allot of stuff i did with the engineers.

(im not talking about 5k shields.. those are just silly)

Nope, not contrarian, the answer is simply that it's not up to FD to make the game fun for those that sit in a HAS RES in a wing of enhanced super killers. Unfortunately, I don't believe FD can even bring balance to this mess.
I have 2 ideas, 1) is limit the amount of engineered things to 3 per ship.
Or 2), is in my sig.

Yup, it's on you, it's one of the reasons you see players finding fun again in small ships they left behind months ago.

Level up your ship, therefor enemy levels up too? it becomes pointless after not too many cycles of this.

oh its not like i only fly my medium and large ships, i still fly my eagle and cobra.

but its like building a deathstar, and having no rebels to come destroy it.. where is the fun in that?
at the moment there are only a few ways to have some challange, fighting security forces is one of those.

last night i was in a full wing of modded ships, 2 condas a FAS and my corvette.. so we were with 7 ships if you count the SLF's.

i am sad to say... Hello kitty adventure island is more ingaging..

there seriously needs to change something with the spawns at a RES site, cause at the moment there is no other use for modded ships than to sealclub NPC's.
back in the day we had the Strong signal sources, with wings of up to 12.. now the biggest wing you will see is 3 :(

please bring back the Dangerous.

How do you go in a Combat Zone (high)?

That a pretty good analogy, there's no easy answer, your game expectations are different from mine, which is different from everyone else's, but the only thing you as a player can do right now is to not build a deathstar?

Ah yes, the deathstar problem, I played a lot of "starwars empire at war" and when ever i build the deathstar i turned every planet that looked at me funny into rubble... every planet.... and why wouldn't you.... there was not much left at the end.....

RES farming is probably the least likely place to have a challenge for a wing of 4 players, much less a wing including Big 3 ships and SLFs and the like.

Go to a compromised nav beacon or combat zone instead next time.

4 fully engineered battleships.
I'll suggest taking massacre missions for both sides, goin' to a CZ and doing your thing - but without choosing your side, as you do have missions for both ;-)
That should give you a few little problems, but even then are 4 engineered ships OP for that...

Combat Zone - yes. But compromised nav beacons are still pretty lightweight by comparison.

I agree that the game should have zones with an associated threat level so a pilot can choose to dip into these and test his mettle. I also think these zones should have a static threat level that doesn't adapt to the pilot's ship or experience. If we don't see at least one thread on these forums every day from some 'experienced' pilot who is furious that these zones are TOTALLY UNFAIR, then they haven't done their job properly.

The only time I think the game should adapt to the pilot's skill/experience/ship is when they are interdicted (i.e. an event outside of the pilot's control). It makes sense that, when running missions, a rival faction would send an appropriately skilled pilot after you.

This is a fine option as long as you only do PvE. If you want to have a ship that is prepared for PvP but mostly use it against NPCs, you will end up in the massacre businesses.

There are no NPCs to practice on and sharpen your build against.
