4K screenshots, how to take them?

ALT-F10 does not take 4K screenshots. How do we take 4K screenshots?

PS. Shouldn't this be able to be keybinded?

CTRL+F10 was the keybind for that.

But i can barely remember FDEV had taken that option out somewhere in beta 3.xx .
I might be wrong here ...

Normal screenies are working (F10) but they appear in my FD screenshots folder about 1-2 minutes after i pressed the F10 key ingame.

They removed 4K screenshots from open and group play, they can still be taken in solo using (sorry) Alt f10 (unless you have bound that to something else).
The removed it because it caused issues and was a potential exploit as you could de sync or something while it was being rendered.

just tested this, using the left hand Alt+F10 DID take a high res screenshot, using the right hand Alt+F10 didn't take a high res shot.

I did notice just before it was pulled that it had gone weird, when you press it these 2 bolts of light seemed to shoot out of your ship like bullets and the cockpit disappeared. Strange.

I did take a few pics before it was removed and it has these weird laser beams on them.

Only works in solo-mode. The high resolution option stalls the game for a second or more and if used in multiplayer it could be used as an exploit because it stalls the network communication as well.

That was your ship flying off into the distance while your camera stayed behind to take the picture, I think this is where the possible exploit came from as the position your are in is not the actual one.

You're probably thinking of this patch note from Gamma 2.0:

- Disallow high res screen captures when in open play and in final builds (still available in solo play)

This still holds true as of the current patch. Alt+F10 works for high resolution screenshots in solo play, but not open play. Also, note that you can hide your UI using Alt+Shift+G.

no idea about open play but the screenshot you see in the folder picture above was taken in a private group while in the station (logged in, took screenshot, logged out)
