5 random oddball animals I’d still like to see in planet zoo

With the games support life possibly winding down here’s five animals that aren’t necessarily heavily requested but still would bring something unique to the game compared to the current roster.

1) Fossa- somewhat requested by the community. Amazing animals that would give planet zoo a unique animal for peoples zoos.

2) North American porcupine- Fairly common in local zoos in my area. I’d take the African species as well.

3) Southern Ground Hornbill- my local zoo has them in with bongos. Pretty neat to watch them gather things for their nest making unique calls to each other.

4) Sloth- obviously a somewhat popular request but still how could you leave them out of a zoo game.

5) African Civet- I’ve requested these guys before but still would be great to get something like these guys in game.
Obviously there’s many more that could be added here but hopefully before the games life ends will get some odd and unique animals yet. The great news is modding has really took off lately especially with the wholly mammoth which looks fantastic btw. So there’s always hope to see many more unique animals yet for sure.

Oh yes i do love myself a civet and the hornbill.
Both are really great animals and i wish for them to make it in, as they would bring unique flavour as more unknown smaller species, as well as being a bird and a small mamale, which we are both still quite lacking in in the game.
Sadly, i dont expect either of them to make the cut, even though i would prefer them to some of the heavily requested animals like the cougar or even the meercat.
But hey, maybe we will have luck and one day i will build a hippo house with a small enclousure with some cute little civets in it :)

I've raised the southern ground hornbill a number of times, but I guess birds are falling to the wayside in favour of more classic mammals all across the board (again, I will say it's criminal that there was not even a new pheasant included in the SEA Pack - I would have sacrificed the dhole for a bird, easily). I also think the North American porcupine would add some wonderful diversity to an arboreal animals pack if ever such a thing was made (such a pack could comfortably include both the sloth and fossa as well).

You have my support for NA Porcupine. I haven't yet seen it mentioned. I would love it, especially because of its arboreal nature which gives it an edge over more famous ground dwelling cousins

The NA porcupine is definitely one of my top picks for an arboreal animals pack. They had one at Edinburgh Zoo a few years ago which was a treat to see.

I wanna belive that since nothing is announced officially we can really expect anything
😋
I just mean that there's like a 99% chance it's just 4+1, and we all know that - on the 1% chance that we get more, then that's awesome and I'll be very excited, but since a building set was also leaked it doesn't seem likely at all. I don't want to see the usual levels of directionless rage from people when they don't get what they weren't promised, that's all.

We will probably know for sure this week.
I also have a problem with people’s negativity here on forum but always do my best to think positive on what is about to come.

I think you're mistaking negativity for realism. The "negative" people are the ones who look at the evidence and come to a conclusion rather than painting the future with their own wishes. It isn't pessimistic to expect a regular 4+1 pack, it's just logical. Like I said, if it's more than that then great, but expecting more isn't being "positive".
