You may also ensure that large, high value goods, deliveries are made absolutely safe from piracy by taking a team mission to deliver, then setting a buy order in SS for the amount of cargo needing safekeeping. Then abandoning the mission when every item has been stored.
Sadly, the original shipping manifest gets destroyed and the FD owner has to buy back the goods from SS to sell, as clean goods, into normal markets, in order to reclaim storage after such an unfortunate error in ownership...
Or if you sell it into another CMDR's buy order...But if another commander buys it from your SS then it reverts to stolen again!
