Its wasnt extreme miscommunication, but still noticeable. Moose in game is Alaskan Moose. It sign wasn't wrong back then showing Alces Alces Gigas. Probably when someone told them, to do moose they thought about american subspecies, because it was going to be included in NA pack. Recently they changed map and subspecies name after feedback, but we know from files it was always supposed to be alaskan version.

Can you show it?

I still wonder if they’ve made a Peccary since they’ve named one of ovl folders that way.
Animal pack with all those leftovers would be actually a nice treat

Most of these are most likely miscomunications beyween character (animal) team and prop team, or future preparations.

My only suspect is the dromedary, as the bactrian in the game has a dromedary face.

Understandable. The silhouettes (OMG I spelled it right on the first try!) would look similar enough that it wouldn't be a stretch to use it as both in game. That's flexicolor if I recall right, so you could always distinguish it that way.
