5mil credits bounty hunting, endless fun!

Problem with those zones, that if you shoot the same faction as the LAW, they going to shoot at you.
To me this was happening, and a fellow player started to help the LAW and shot me too. I killd the fellow player and got 6k bounty............... Another player shot me, but he, thx god left the navpoint. i didnt wanted to get more bounty, so i left too, and paid the fee. Its so bad, that LAW protecting WANTED, and making you enemy too...
This is by far the most frustrating aspect. Being clean, and yet still being attacked by the law, and not being able to fight back.

Someone at FD needs smack in the face with a wet tissue.

Z...

Right now I'm friendly (green) with both the Empire and Feds and several small factions. I just popped back out of the game after a little experiment:

I entered a nav Point (NP)and there were several ships. I selected a neutral (yellow) wanted ship and took it out, ships of the same faction turned red, the green ships stayed green, including local cops. Next I selected a wanted "green" ship and shot it, all of the same faction turned red but the cops stayed green.

That is interesting!

Maybe it's somehow a relative connection oO - I am tempted to give bounty hunting another try ^^

So you made 6 mill already? Haha im only up to 1,7 with a combat status of competent in my cobra worth about 1,3.
My total assets is about 3,3

Not all actions by a faction are "above board". Just like real life governments there's a lot of illegal activity going on (probably more than legal activity) behind the scenes.

For example:

What if the wanted ship you just killed was carrying stolen military plans? What if they were smuggling in illegal food products? Could be any number of illegal activity that's sanctioned (secretly) by the local government. My country (USA) are the masters of this type of behavior. It's illegal, kept out of the media but, it happens all the time. Sure, smuggling weapons into a country is illegal (on paper) but, if you shoot down the plane carrying the weapons, even though illegal, watch and see what the USA does to you. Isn't morally correct but, it is realistic.

If that makes sense?

The USA, my country has tens of thousands of people doing illegal activities, all the time and my government protects them. If I tried it, I'd be killed. If I killed "their guys", I would be killed. It ain't pretty but, it is happening all across this Earth, why not the Galaxy?
That's a lot of what ifs and denial. Are you employed by Frontier Developments?

It's clearly a bug, a criminal is a criminal and criminals are free kills in this game, atleast they should be. This is not real life, it's a video game. Most of you fanboys seem to forget that.

I choose the positive, when I can. Life is too short.

I am a "fanboi". I love the game. I've never said or claimed it's perfect but, when given something this good why not make the most of it? Find the good in it, roll with the punches and if necessary fill holes with imagination until the dog tired devs can fill them for us. Choose to be happy and have fun, it's a lot less stressful and enjoyable.

Sure, I've had my share of authorities shooting me for no apparent reason, clean ships shooting me (I was clean) and not getting a bounty, weird faction glitches and enigmatic rep system (I think I have it now though) and the other stuff. Same as the rest of us but, I choose to roll with it. Why shouldn't I be positive and say "hey, they protect their own" or whatever, instead of raging on the forums? I'm having an absolute blast, pun intended, and have been for six months or more. I highly recommend it.

That's how many credits I've earned as a bounty hunter, so far.

Impressive, I managed just about 3mil and never once tried hunting at a nav beacon. I love the way the astroied belts look and feel.

Quick question since the servers are down, are there as many authority vessels around the nav beacons? I'm getting annoyed by how many times they begin to attack me even tho I have no bounty or done anything wrong. (and i'm allied with the police)

Honestly, police presence is rather unpredictable, depending on the length and violence of the situation. I had an Elite Anaconda I was fighting get pummeled by an authority Anaconda and it's escorts (I got the bounty) and I'm sure they popped in in direct response to the heavy bad guy prescience.

I'd say all the points of interest for a BH are about the same, depending on the system you're in. There's definitely, for me, a direct relation to police/military presence in a system to the population and all the other system variables. If yo know what I mean so, it varies.

One "tip" if I may, when entering a system note the faction with the most influence, they're likely the "system authority" and the ones you who's faction you want to avoid killing a lot of. They stay green if you kill another factions wanted ships.

Of course, I could be mistaken but, I went from hostile to the Feds, with no friendly factions or systems to friendly (green) with the Empire and the Feds a a lot of small factions so I reckon I'm doing something right?

Edit" Nav Points are my primary source of income. I love asteroid fields but, my systems struggles with them in the DK2. I am 100% certain that by killing smugglers and pirates it greatly influences local politics, especially if you stick around a system for an extended period of time.

For me, it's a mixed bag of anywhere from 1000cr to 100k+ but, mostly I get smaller bounties. The secret? Stay until you can't stay anymore. Either I run out of ammo, sustain too much damage or the local cops start shooting, mostly the first two, more often than not. Wish a dev could look up my last 5 or so times I played, that would give a clear picture of the assortment of bounty types I run into.

I'm in about the same place you are, I have slightly over 5m assets to my name now. What bothers me is traders are capable of making that much money per hour.
Do you have first hand experience of making this much money trading or are you complaining about something you know exclusively from forum hearsay?

If you think 5000k/hr was a thing, can you point me to the player anacondas bought with those credits?

I think they should add more challenging ships with higher bounties for those who already have ships worth millions. Bounty hunting should progress in a way that trading does.

Why does it bother you? Are you having fun bounty hunting?

Why would it bother you if bounty hunting actually allowed people to use more ships?

I think it's silly that bounty hunting and combat zones are so unprofitable you are limited to the earlier ships because you can't even keep up with repairs with anything better. I mean honestly, that's just dumb.

Just switched from trading to bounty hunting last night.

This is sooner than I planned, but the grind was killing my spirit.

So far I'm 100k to the positive, and that's just from uss'.

I have to try a proper bit of farming soon.

My kit is a cobra, with class 2 fixed mcs and class 1 gimballed beams. A sensors, life support and power distribution, the rest runs from E to C. I have a D KWS and und interdiction module.

Popped into 3 USS in a system close to LHS 1914 and took a type 7 and then a swarm of Sidey's and Cobra. Great fun.

Cost me 500C for ammo, but fantastic fun.

Somethings changed the last couple of days, seeing way way less 'wanted's' in Nav points or Extraction sites, and the ones I do see are worth pittance 2 -4k only. I made a million the last week N half (and thats a lot for me) now I can barely find anyone worth over 8k, and the ones that are maxed out Pythons. What is going on. I moved to a completely different system and same deal..its hardly worthy it now.

I just now (Like, I'm waiting for docking permission to land "just now" to claim bounties and rearm) came from Ngliba Nav point, I destroyed two Fed drops and a Python, mixed bountys in the middle 5 figures on each.
