7 days of war is WAY too long...

Nah not too long, if you smash in first few days, no need to fight for all 7. Plus you get chance to catch up if you are losing.
7 days give people stuck in work time to contribute on days they can.

Personally I m loving the new CZs
And you can feel the difference in low,med and high.

I now have to reload ammo sometimes twice in a single CZ due to the NPCs being better, tougher. It's really goood

Nah, that was the case before, not the case now. You can't take your foot off the gas any more like you could after 3 days under the previous model. It;s possible for an opponent to force a draw under certain circusmtances despite losing 5 out of 7 days of the war. I realise I didn't articulate this in the OP, it was only half known then and is being confirmed as we type...

TWO very interesting posts and again I MUST add the caveat this is my PERSONAL experience.

1. There is no need whatsover to SMASH the firsttwo days but yes it will not do any harm and why not smash all seven days BUT.... If you monitor very carefully what is going on and you are not losing this war, then why jump in the first day? if you are monitoring this war and it is still a draw on the second day, then again, why jump in and 'smash' the war?

Yes, if that is what you want then jump in and fight every day but we now have independent systems with each one possibly getting close to going into conflict. Are we better off monitoring our wars, seeing what wars we need to fight and seeing what systems we might need to put some time into? Yes with larger groups we can delegate responsibility and have those that want to fight do the fighting (As long as they know exactly what they are doing :) )
and have those that might prefer trading to possibly do missions to control the influence of our faction in other systems.

Observation Number 2
To date we have NEVER, ever had the good fortune for a wing member to jump out of the CZ, replenish and come back in and then successfully pursue the war!! In our very own personal experience, the instant, the very instant that player returns to the CZ, the bar disappears. We can carry on fighting until the cows come home. We get congratulated for killing enemy ships, but that bar disappears and we never get that message telling us we have a small\medium\significant increase in reputation!!!

What I did when I was using multi-cannons was synthesis munitions, that way it kept me in the CZ but if folks can leave the CZ and then successfully return and get that congratulatory message then this is yet another useless bug.

Note I am not disbelieving folks, I am simply saying we did this several times and on EVERY occasion we could never complete the war in that cz.

I am guessing that we can win as many wars per day as we want, there is nothing stopping us from going to a different CZ and then start back at the beginning. Winning one war is okay but if another human group in private or solo win two wars in that same system then quite clearly that day will show as a defeat even though we might never have been defeated!

Look, the people detracting the new CZ system before even really experiencing it are, for some bizarre reason, assuming that you will always have to put in the maximal, most-condensed amount of effort into every single war that you care about.
Its like some of you looked at the "possible range of effort required", which might be 5 mins a day at the bottom, and 12 hours a day at the top. And then you just assumed every single CZ will always sit at the top of that range, ignoring the rest.

For some wars, especially against other PMF's, thats probably going to be true. But I don't see how that would be a bad thing, sounds exciting to me.

For others, lets be real... You'll have to win one CZ a day, and then you'll call it a day because no one else is paying attention to your conflict.

The rest will happily sit somewhere in the middle. Aside from War length, which I agree is currently taking too long, I think it will all work out nicely.
