The studio will record the action using the same telepresence technology installed in fighter bay hangars equipped on ships such as the legendary Keelback, providing audiences with the most immersive virtual reality experience ever. Pilots with recording hardware installed aboard their ships will fly stunts which can be relived by anyone with a telepresence playback unit as though they were part of the action themselves.
Club members may sign up to participate in up to three scenes in which the protagonist must steal either a small, medium or large ship from nearby stations. Clayakarma Electronics Partners have generously agreed to reward the top pilot(s) in the event by offering paintjobs as prizes.
Please note that the neither the Buckyball Racing Club nor Clayakarma Electronics Partners condone piracy or theft. All club members assisting with the production will be required to supply and "steal" their own ships.

The race runs from Friday December 16th 3320 at 00:00:00 to Thursday December 22nd 3302 at 23:59:59. Entries made wholly or in part outside this period will be rejected. All times are server time.
Only entries made in Open mode will be eligible for classification and prizes. Entries from Solo or Private Group mode will be added to the leaderboard as exhibition runs with their entry endorsed with an x notation. They will not receive a final ranking.
You may enter up to three race categories: Fast and Furious (normal space), Cannonball Run (supercruise) or Gone in 60 Seconds (hyperspace). To participate in multiple categories you must use a different size ship for each, based on its usual landing pad size. For example you could use a Cobra Mk III (small pad), Asp Scout (medium pad) and Beluga Liner (large pad) for the three categories.
You can use a different set of ship/category combinations for subsequent race entries.
To compete in a race category:
The total elapsed time for a single race entry must be less than fifteen minutes, calculated from the start time of your first category entry to the end time of your final category entry.
You may submit as many race entries as you wish provided each one falls wholly within the race period.
You may choose to withdraw any of your race entries at any time up until the deadline for submissions, so as to give yourself a better chance of winning an individual category. The decision to withdraw a race entry is final. Withdrawn entries may not be reinstated.
You can fly any ship with any non-engineered loadout. Engineered modules, enhanced performance thrusters and frame shift drive injection are not allowed in any race category.
