A day in the Thargoid search, and thanks for those you learn and share!

So I had not really done a huge amount for the entire "search" for the aliens. However, I did do the full mission for the ruins which a friend and I complete within a couple of days. A HUGE thank you goes out the community for the websites and spreadsheets on those by the way. I figured I might as well give it a go since I have yet to actually see the "aliens" in game yet. It all started with the Canon site on how to even get some of this stuff, thanks for that and off I went!

Finding a probe for the "Unknown Structure"

Then on to a crash site for the UA:

Once there I managed to get inside get the data, link, and active the machine. However, I did not know (I didn't watch many videos) that I would be stopped just outside... lol...

All I really want to know is how the ! do people actually find this stuff? When I was looking for the crash site it didn't even pop onto my screen until I was 7-8km from it...

I had not heard of them appearing at the bases yet only the barnacles. Wow! That's cool. Those places are really atmospheric. Well I'm at one now for the CG so maybe one will show. Glad you got to enjoy it.

There needs to be more in-game tools/news updates alerting us to things that are happening in the universe. If it wasn't for TP tools/forums etc we would know nothing of what is going on.

Surely they have been seen at the bases before. I'm never first in this game for anything... bawhahahaha

Thargoid Encounter

Hi All
Had a great Thargoid encounter...
Received a mission from the Feds to find a black box. Went to the system and found 2 battleships destroyed and cloud of green gas.
Entering the gas cloud caused my ship to shut down and could not escape but Thargoid vessel went straight for me and basically collided into my ship pushing me out the cloud whereby systems came back online.
This makes me think these Thargoids had turned up either during or after the attack and were observing and probably not a threat since they appeared to help me out.
I got the black box and some nice credits.

And nothing.

They'll probably invade in a way that I can't even find them. Lol

There is, it's called GalNet. We just need the folks at Frontier to start using it to deliver in-game news about events and happenings like this, and there will be a lot of happier people out there.

Very true! I look at it once in a while but it's mostly articles about powerplay cycles or a call to arms for some CG.
