There are a few species in the game which aren't specified to the subspecies that the game refers to them as, here are the ones that should be renamed:
- African Buffalo (Syncerus caffer caffer) renamed to Cape Buffalo
- American Bison (Bison bison bison) renamed to American Plains Bison
- Dhole (Cuon alpinus alpinus) renamed to Ussuri Dhole
- Diamondback Terrapin (Malaclemys terrapin terrapin) renamed to Northern Diamondback Terrapin
- Giant Forest Scorpion (Heterometrus swammerdami titanicus) renamed to Gigantometrus swammerdami referring to the species Giant Forest Scorpion rather the Asian Forest Scorpion which is the Asian Forest Scorpion
- Galapagos Giant Tortoise (Chelonoidas nigra) renamed to Chelonoidas niger to be accurate to be the correct spelling of the name, which subspecies of the Galapagos Giant Tortoise we have, I don't know
- I mean I know it doesn't have its common name, but the King Penguin is specifically Aptenodytes patagonicus patagonicus, which are the King Penguins found only in the South Atlantic Ocean, so maybe just generalise it to the King Penguin
- Proboscis Monkey (Nasalis larvatus larvatus) renamed to Nasalis larvatus to just generalise the name
- Timber Wolf (Canis lupus) renamed to Northeastern Wolf (Canis lupus occidentalis)
- Rename the Pygmy Hippo to Pygmy Hippopotamus
- Given we have both species of Hippopotamus, the Hippopotamus should be renamed to the Common Hippopotamus to match the zoopedia description
- Grey Seal (Halichoerus grypus atlantica) renamed to Atlantic Grey Seal
- Raccoon to Common Raccoon
- A potential alternative name to a geographical name of the Indian Rhinoceros would be the Greater One-Horned Rhinoceros
